Overcome Family Worries Talk 2: Homework

Feast Bay Area Morning Bulletin for Apr 15,

15 APRIL 2018 PHILIPPINE INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION CENTER CHANGE YOUR STORY “How long have you been working here?” “Nine years,” she said. I was in the Oman airport getting my connecting flight from Israel to Dubai. While waiting, I met a Filipina going home. I was shocked to learn that this was the first time she was going back. I asked, “After nine years, have you been able to save something?” She shook her head. “I have been sending all my money to my parents and siblings. I’m going home broke.” I felt her pain. And I looked around me — at the other OFWs in the airport. This situation was not unique. I’ve met so many OFWs who have the same sad story. Today, we look at Joseph again and learn how to change our financial journey from stories of pain to stories of prosperity. You will be blessed today. May your dreams come true, BO SANCHEZ GOD WANTS TO PROSPER YOU OVERCOME FAMILY WORRIES TALK 2: HOMEWORK “Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” –1 Timothy 5:8 NIV “She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants. She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.” –Proverbs 31:15-17 NIV “A wise man thinks ahead; a fool doesn’t, and even brags about it! –Proverbs 13:16 TLB Read also: –Genesis 41:34-36 NIV –Genesis 41:41 NIV PERSONAL REFLECTION AND GROUP DISCUSSION: If you’re not yet following the Joseph model of investing the fifth part of your income, what steps can you do today to reach that goal? A young woman brought her fiancé home to meet her parents. After dinner, her mother told her father to find out about the young man. The father invited the fiancé to his study for a talk. “So what are your plans?” the father asked the young man. “I am a Biblical scholar,” he replied. “A Biblical scholar. Hmmm,” the father said. “Admirable, but what will you do to provide a nice house for my daughter to live in?” “I will study,” the young man replied, “and God will provide for us.” “And how will you buy her a beautiful engagement ring, such as she deserves?” asked the father. “I will concentrate on my studies,” the young man replied, ”and God will provide for us.” “And children?” asked the father. “How will you support the children?” “Don’t worry, sir, God will provide,” replied the young man. The conversation proceeded like this, and each question the father had, the young idealist insisted that God would provide. Later, the mother asked, “How did it go, honey?” The father answered, “He has no job, no plans, and he thinks I’m God!” Jeremiah 29:11 says “’I know the plans I have for you,’” says the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you.’” Without a doubt, God wants you to prosper. But to do so, you also need to persevere. Without perseverance, there is no prosperity. Today, we will learn how Joseph’s perseverance propelled him to prosperity. Have an amazing Feast. In Him, AUDEE VILLARAZA
