Lutherans Giving Back
Step-Up in Service & Step-Out in the Community
Community Healthfest
Join together -- in a demonstration of our heritage as Lutherans who care about and are involved in
the well-being of our community -- for a Fun, Short-term Ministry!
As part of the planning for our commemoration of the 500th
anniversary of the Reformation, the Reformation Planning Team has
been exploring ways to give back to our community. We found such an
opportunity with the Fairfield Medical Center (FMC) in it’s annual
Community Healthfest on Saturday, August 5
from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Fairfield County Fairgrounds.
FMC is looking for volunteers to help with a variety of duties including, but not limited to, manning registration
tables, directing vendors to their parking areas, assisting in the Kid's Area, checking on vendors to see if they
need anything, set-up and clean-up, etc. Additional details of volunteer job descriptions which are available is
included on the reverse of this page. Please do NOT assign yourself a job, as the management of this is
done by FMC Marketing. However feel free to make a request!
Shifts are from 8:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.
Dress is casual, modest, nice clothing for representing St. Peter's and Fairfield Medical Center.
In fact, we are preparing special Reformation 500 T-Shirts
that would be perfect for this event as we make a visual presence in addition to our physical help.
Can you offer 3 – 4 hours of hospitality and service?
Grab a fellow member (or just sign up yourself) and sign up for either shift –
8:00AM – 11:30AM or 11:00AM – 3:00PM
Take a look at the volunteer job descriptions on the back of this page and if a particular job interests
you, you can request it as you apply. Use the form below or mark a Communications Slip from a
worship bulletin in July and don’t forget to include your T-Shirt size!!!
– Then add your name to the “Lutherans Giving Back” sign up at the back of the sanctuary.
Please have all information submitted no later than Sunday, July 23 rd .
