Classic Car Tour 2019
Saturday 18th May
Dornoch to Ullapool
via
Muir of Ord

In the morning assemble outside the
historic Dornoch Castle Hotel,
register in the Carnegie Courthouse
and avail yourself of the opportunity
to have a cup of coffee. After
inspecting other entrants’ cars,
prepare to leave, the start signalled by
the firing of a cannon, for…
Dingwall and on to Muir of Ord for
morning coffee. Refreshed, set off
across the spine of Highland
Scotland, alongside Loch
Glascarnoch. A long descent
through woods and alongside Loch
Broom will take you to the fishing
port of Ullapool, gateway to the
Outer Hebrides. Park on the quay, eat
lunch and perhaps explore the town then assemble for a group
photograph.
The route home will take you
through the grandeur of the
UNESCO Geopark to Ledmore
Junction. Thence, meander along
the Oykel Valley as far as Oykel
Bridge for afternoon tea.
Replete, the final leg takes you
back to Dornoch.
