Hire This Bunkhouse On Dartmoor
Nun’s Cross Farm, our remote and rustic bunkhouse provides a sheltered hearth to
warm your toes and a place to lay your head after a hike on Dartmoor.
Equipped for 36 people, the kitchen has 4 ring-gas cooker plates, bowls, mugs, pots,
pans, cooking utensils and cutlery. Perfect if you want all the advantages of camping
without having to carry the kit!
On the ground floor the dining room is fitted with a wood burner and has long tables
and benches to eat at. This space can also used as a meeting room or somewhere
to relax out of the elements. The downstairs bedroom sleeps 9 people and is well
suited for staff sleeping quarters.
Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, two larger and one small, which altogether sleep 27
people on triple bunk beds.

Advice
There is no running water at the farm, groups should bring their own drinking
water. Water for washing etc is available in a nearby leat.
The wood provided is for use in the woodburners at the farm only and must
not be used for outdoor fires.
Mattresses are not supplied, we recommend that groups bring karrimats or
something similar.
Attached to the farm is an indoor composting toilet which offers modern
convenience but still in keeping with the remote and rustic atmosphere of
the farm. Full details on how to use the toilet are at the farm. Please ensure
that only human waste and toilet paper are put into the toilet and that all
other waste is removed on departure.
In misty conditions it is advised that the group members do not go far from
the farm building and that a light is situated at the doorway.
Please do not drive on the grass. It is against National Park Bylaws to drive
vehicles ‘off-road’. Vehicles are permitted no further than the gravel track
and only with permission from Mount Kelly Enterprises.

Booking Terms & Conditions
1. Booking organisations accept that the remoteness of the farm and the
nature of Dartmoor requires specialist supervision.
2. The booking organisation agrees to provide adequate staff supervision
of the groups to ensure their safety and good behaviour whilst staying
at the farm.
3. We accept no liability for the welfare of the group whilst staying at or
journeying to Nun’s Cross Farm.
4. We recommend full third party insurance cover.
5. Bookings must be paid in full and in advance, within 10 days of a telephone
booking. We reserve the right to cancel any booking if the booking form
and full payment is not received within this time frame.
6. A deposit of £200 will be held to cover any loss, damage or abuse of the
building, surroundings or contents. This includes cleaning and removal of
rubbish. The deposit will be returned in full after the departure checklist
has been adhered to and the building has been checked.
7. Please complete the departure checklist to ensure you do not incur
charges from your deposit. Please take away all left overs. Do not
leave anything at the farm on departure. The checklist and charges are
displayed inside Nun’s Cross Farm.
8. Cancellations will incur an admin charge of 25% of the booking payment
received.
9. Should Mount Kelly Enterprises cancel a booking a full refund will be
given without further obligation.
10. Access: From 14:00 on the day of arrival. Depart by 11:00 on the day of
departure. Full details provided with hire confirmation or by request.
