The water’s getting warm so you might
as well swim...
The sun is shining and the bees are buzzing...
That can mean only one thing − summer is on its
way! School is nearly out, and for a lot of kids that
means a summer vacation is on the cards. We’ve got
a handy feature on camping with multiples (26) from
Tracy Salcedo, as well as tips for germ-proof travel
(24) from Harley A. Rotbart, M.D.
Summer is also a big time for change as schoolage
twins move up the grades. Shanna Silva shares
her feelings about her twins choosing to go to separate
colleges on page 20. We’ve also got advice from
Janet Gonzalez-Mena about handling another major
milestone: when toddler twins move from sleeping
in a crib to a bed (page 14).
We’ve also got another adorable Double Takes
section, filled with our readers’ best twin photos.
Did you submit a picture? Head to page 36 to see if
it made it in! Don’t be disheartened if your picture
isn’t in this issue − we received hundreds of entries
and it’s almost impossible to pick only forty!
We’re on the lookout for more true-life twin
stories. If you’d like to contribute to the magazine,
please email me at twinseditor@twinsmagazine.com
for more information.
As always, it has been a privilege compiling this
issue for you. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as
I enjoyed putting it together. Until next time!
Sincerely,
Laura Cunningham
