The Hubertus Archery Park
Kleine und grosse Hobbyschützen kommen
diesen Sommer im neuen Hubertus
Bogenpark auf ihre Kosten. Das dazugehörige
Equipment ist in der Outdoorbox
im rocksresort in Laax zu mieten.
Im Anschluss geht’s mit der Gondel auf
den Crap Sogn Gion. Der ausgeschilderte
Parcours mit 28 Posten, beginnt beim
Ausstieg der Sesselbahn Plaun und endet
beim Restaurant in Curnius. Der Bogenpark
bietet neben Sport, Abenteuer und
Spass auch Wissenswertes, denn man
erfährt viel über die Jagd und über die
heimischen Wildtiere.

Opening this summer in Laax, The Hubertus
Archery Park will offer children as well as adults
a unique experience of learning, discovering
and most importantly having plenty of fun.
After taking the Gondola from Laax to Crap
Sogn Gion the adventure starts at the chairlift
exit Plaun, taking you on the signposted route
where you will be able to test your archery skills
with 28 individual targets. Along the way you
enjoy the beautiful hiking route while discovering
facts about local wildlife and about hunting
before finishing off at Restaurant Curnius. All
the required equipment can be rented at the
Outdoor Box in the rocksresort in Laax.

Am 25. August findet entlang der Via Nova
in Flims wieder ein Dorf- und Gewerbefest
statt. 2012 hatte eine Initiative das ehemalige
Flimser Dorffest neu aufleben lassen
und mit einer Gewerbeausstellung kombiniert.
In einem 2-Jahres-Turnus präsentieren
sich seither jeweils Dutzende von
Firmen aus Handel, Gewerbe und Tourismus
sowie regionale Vereine. Neben Information,
Unterhaltung und Vergnügen
stehen bei diesem Anlass vor allem die
vielen zwischenmenschlichen Begegnungen
im Fokus.
On 25 August, a village fair and trade exhibition
takes place once again along the Via
Nova in Flims. In 2012, an innovative group
gave the old Flims village fair a new lease of
life and combined it with a trade exhibition.
Every two years since then, dozens of companies
from business, trade and tourism present
themselves alongside regional associations.
In addition to information, entertainment
and amusement, the main focus of the event is
the many interactions that take place between
people attending the fair.

Das Rheinschlucht Bus-Taxi sorgt mit einer
neuen Verbindung, der ersten Querverbindung
in der Surselva, dafür, dass sich die
rechte und die linke Rheinseite näher kommen
und damit auch Flims Laax Falera
und Valendas Safiental. In einem Pilotprojekt
verkehrt das Rheinschlucht Bus-
Taxi zwischen Sagogn, Valendas-Sagogn
Bahnhof, Valendas, Brün und Imschlacht
mit direkten Postauto-Anschlüssen von
Sagogn nach Flims Laax Falera.
The "Rhineschlucht" (Rhine gorge) bus-taxi
offers a new connection that is the first of
its kind in Surselva, allowing the right and
left banks of the Rhine to come a little closer,
and with it Flims Laax Falera and Valendas
Safiental. In a pilot project, the Rhineschlucht
bus-taxi travels between Sagogn,
Valendas-Sagogn station, Valendas, Brün
and Imschlacht, with direct postbus connections
from Sagogn to Flims Laax Falera.
Betriebszeiten: vom 30. Juni bis 2. September täglich gemäss Fahrplan. Vom 3. September bis 21. Oktober
jeweils am Samstag und Sonntag gemäss Fahrplan. Ausserhalb der Betriebs- und Fahrplanzeiten fährt das
Bus-Taxi als Ruftaxi, dies auf Voranmeldung und nach Verfügbarkeit (T +41 79 257 67 35).

Resort mit See — Resort and lake
Das sanierungsbedürftige Flimser Sportzentrum Prau la
Selva war in den letzten Jahren so etwas wie ein Sorgenkind.
Jetzt plant die Gemeinde, das Sportzentrum abreissen und
ein Resort errichten zu lassen. Das geplante Nature Retreat
Prau la Selva soll aus 56 Cabins, das heisst kleinen Holzhütten,
bestehen und über 234 Betten verfügen. Es soll eine
Lodge mit Rezeption, Restaurant, Bar, Lounge und Seminarräumen
geben. Herzstück des Resorts wird ein künstlicher
See sein. Noch in diesem Jahr sollen die Flimser über das
Projekt abstimmen.
Flims' sports centre Prau la Selva is in need of renovation,
and over the years has been something of a cause for concern.
Now there are plans to knock down the sports centre
and build a resort in its place. The planned Nature Retreat
Prau la Selva includes 56 cabins and small wooden huts,
offering 234 beds. There will also be a lodge with reception,
restaurant, bar, lounge and seminar rooms. At the heart of
the resort is an artificial lake. Flims residents should reach
a decision on the project this year.

Flims festival anniversary
Nicht nur die Tektonikarena, sondern auch
das Flimsfestival feiert sein 10-Jahr-Jubiläum.
Erneut locken klassische Musik,
Volksmusik und Jazz mit spannenden Ideen
und ungewöhnlichen Aufführungsorten.
Selbst der Mond macht mit. Bei der totalen
Mondfinsternis am 27. Juli trifft in der
Sternwarte Falera der Berner Troubadour
Bruno Bieri auf den baltischen Cellisten Leo
Treikus. Zu hören und zu sehen sein werden
aber auch Ils Fränzlis da Tschlin (21. Juli)
oder Schuberts Forellenquintett (15. Juli).
Like the tectonic arena, the Flims festival
is also celebrating its 10-year anniversary.
Once again classical music, alongside folk
and jazz, provide attractions with exciting
ideas and unusual venues. Even the moon
is getting in on the act. On 27 July during
the total lunar eclipse, the troubadour from
Bern Bruno Bieri meets the Baltic cellist Leo
Treikus in the Falera observatory. Also to be
seen and heard are Ils Fränzlis da Tschlin (21
July) and Schubert's Trout Quintet (15 July).

Einblicke erwandern — Gaining insights by foot
Wer blickt nicht gerne hinter die Kulissen?
In Flims Laax Falera darf man seine
Neugierde auch in der Natur ausleben. Bis
zum 13. Oktober findet jeden Samstag eine
Naturführung zu unterschiedlichen Themen
statt. Im Mittelpunkt der einfachen
zwei- bis vierstündigen Wanderungen
stehen entweder die Orchideen oder die
Pilze, die in der Region zu finden sind, die
Wildtiere, der Wald, das UNESCO-Welterbe
Tektonikarena Sardona oder der Flimser
Bergsturz. Geleitet werden die Wanderungen
von Experten, bestens gerüstet, um die
Geheimnisse der Natur zu lüften.

In Flims Laax Falera, you can also look to
nature to satisfy your curiosity. Until 13 October,
nature tours take place each Saturday
with a different theme. The low-intensity,
2–4 hour walks might focus on the orchids
or mushrooms that can be found in the region,
or the wild animals, the forest, the UNESCO
World Heritage Site Tectonic Arena Sardona,
or the Flims landslide. The walks are led by
experts who are perfectly equipped to reveal
nature's secrets.
