Sale Information 

INSPECTION: All sheep forward for sale will be subject to a Society Inspection. Any 

animal which does not reach the Inspection Standard will have a red mark put 

on their back, these animals will not be allowed to be sold and must be 

removed from the Sale pens immediately. 

The Inspector’s decision will be final. 

CONDITIONS OF SALE: Sold under the British Berrichon Sheep Society Sale Rules 

and the Livestock Auctioneers Terms & Conditions of Sale. 

All sheep will be sold in guineas. 

A commission will be charged at 5% on all sheep. 

The Pedigree and descriptions of the lots are believed to be correct, but are 

not intended as warranty, and therefore shall be taken with all faults and 

errors of description. 

SUBSTITUTES: Two substitutes will be allowed provided that notification of ear 

numbers have been made to the Society Secretary 48 hours prior to the sale 

and pedigree papers are given to the Secretary and Sale Inspectors prior to 

Inspection. Substitutes must be like for like e.g Ram Lamb for Ram Lamb. 

All sheep must be tagged in accordance with the relevant DEFRA regulations. 

The Vendor shall be responsible for the correctness of identity and animals 

individual pedigree number must be printed on their tag. The vendor shall be 

responsible for all faults. The buyer has one hour after the end of Sale to complain.

The Creigiau Flock of British Berrichon Sheep was established in 2008, since then our 

aim has been to breed correct sheep. 

We show our sheep throughout the summer months and have been fortunate enough 

to win The British Berrichon Sheep Society’s “Reid Minty Shield” twice. 

The three sheep we have here today have been shown at The Royal Bath & West Show 

2018 and were all placed in their respective classes in the Any Other Continental Breed 

section. 

“Creigiau Treasure” Ram lamb placed 1 st at The Royal Bath & West 

Show 2018 in A.O.C breed Ram Lamb class.

STATESMAN FLOCK 

The Statesman Flock was established in 2004 and continues to produce stock with great 

shape, style & skins. The stock is consistently performing well in both the show ring & 

the sale ring. The consignment offered today not only have all three of the above but 

also great depth of breeding. We are confident that they will go on to perform well for 

their new owners like so many of our stock have done in the past as far as field as Devon

WINDRUSH FLOCK 

The Windrush Flock was established in 2012 and since then our aim has been to breed quality 

sheep for both pedigree and commercial use which are correct, shapely and stylish with good 

skins and easy fleshing traits, that is, they keep their backs and have the ability to thrive and finish 

from grass alone. 

It is continually pleasing for us to see our stock performing so well for those that have purchased 

from us, both in the show ring and in the field, whether it be pedigree stock or commercial rams. 

Again, our stock achieved great results throughout the 2017 season, most notably lambs from our 

progressive breeding programme. Windrush Superstar ET certainly lived up to her name and 

remained unbeaten in her class throughout the season, winning at all three major shows; RTCS, 

GYS & RWS – where she stood reserve champion. Windrush Spotlight ET won at both GYS & RWS 

– where he stood male champion. Windrush Strongman was top price Worcester 2017 at 

1,050gns. 

As the name of this sale may suggest, this really is our ‘First Choice’ consignment, made up of top 

quality stock including our show lambs of the current season, which are progeny from our 

progressive breeding programme and all sired by the renowned, late, French import ‘Muscleman’. 

He really is breeding well for us and is the sire of the aforementioned Superstar ET & Strongman. 

Our other entries are sired by our legendary stock ram, One In A Million. He is arguably one of the 

most influential sires the breed has seen. Not only has he an impressive showing CV and 

outstanding depth of breeding, he has also sired numerous show & sale toppers, most notably;

7. The Auctioneers reserve the right of deviating from the catalogue either by amalgamation or
