Welcome to River Place Student
Theatre’s 11th production
The Wizard of Oz
River Place Student Theatre (RPST) is a volunteer-driven non-profit 501©
3 organization that gives students zoned to River Place Elementary the
opportunity to be part of a professional musical theatre experience. I
want to thank all our talented young actors and actresses who have
worked so hard to make this magical journey come to life.
The Wizard of Oz is made possible by generous community donors and
more than 80 volunteers who have worked tirelessly to bring Creative
Director, Dionn Schaffner and Musical Director, Ruthie Long’s vision to life.
It takes a village to produce a show of this caliber and our community is
blessed with many talented people.
A dedicated volunteer created everything you see tonight – from the
costumes to the sets to the choreography. A show is truly a labor of love
and I have been fortunate to know and work with the amazing women on
the RPST Board during this most challenging personal year. Thank you for
your long hours of work, your patience, and your dedication. I also want to
thank all of RPST’s amazing parent volunteers for donating your time and
talent. The show could not go on without you!
The Wizard of Oz has represented a time of exploration and a new
direction for RPST. The goal for this year was to explore an old story
and find new ways of bringing life to a classic. In the midst of putting
together a show, you always realize how much we are part of a community
that loves the arts and how blessed we are to be in the midst of friends,
neighbors, and businesses that are patrons of the arts. Many of our
alumni are already following their love for musical theatre and taking
their talents to many other stages. It is a proud moment when any of us
gets to witness one of their performances. We know that it all started in
this stage, under these lights, and under our loving watch.
Thank you to all of you for being here tonight and for suspending disbelief
for 2 hours of pure magic. Imagination is a powerful gift and each of these
actors has made a little part of Kansas and a little part of Oz possible
tonight. There is power in words and Glinda said it best when she said,
“You always had the power my dear, you just had to learn how to use it.”

Every little actor and actress will be using their creativity tonight to show
you a little magic thru the power of their craft. Every single one of them
represents a hope and a dream and we are honored to be part of their
journey as they follow their own Yellow Brick Road.

Giana Cantu - Dorothy
Giana is a 5th year veteran in RPST. She has blossomed
from her first time on stage into her starring
role as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. She enjoys
spending time with family, friends and reading.
Giana’s competitive spirit is evident in her love of soccer
and ability to overcome her shyness as she steps
on stage to perform. Saturday Night Role: Featured

Amber Gemperle - Toto
This young actress is SUPER excited to RUFF her way
through this year’s production as Toto! Amber is in her
2nd year with RPST, and loves the stage. Constantly
performing at home and for her friends, Amber will do
anything to get a laugh. Her other interests include
tumbling, swimming, creating, playing w/ friends,
and cuddling w/ her dog Peanut. Saturday Night Role:

Alexa Gage - Aunt Em
This is Alexa’s fourth production with RPST. In her
previous lead roles, she played Pinocchio in Shrek
and Pumbaa in The Lion King. This year, she will be
playing her first serious role as Aunt Em. When Alexa
is not acting and singing, she enjoys cheerleading,
basketball, volleyball and playing with friends. Saturday

Adrian Dholakia - Uncle Henry
Adrian Dholakia is thrilled to be in his second
performance with River Place Student Theatre.
Making people smile is one of his many talents.
In addition to being an actor, Adrian is a robotics

Avery Gemperle - Huck
Constantly in motion, this 3rd year RPST veteran
handsprings and cartwheels her way through life.
She’s excited though sad that this is her last year in
RPST, as middle school is her next stop. Some of
Avery’s favorite things include tumbling, basketball,
swimming, playing w/ her dog Peanut, and

Brynley Gage - Hickory
Brynley is in the 5th grade this year. The Wizard of
Oz will be her 4th and final RPST production. Shy
by nature, she stepped out of her comfort zone
and really enjoyed the past four years singing and
acting with her friends. In addition to theatre, Bryn
also likes cheerleading, basketball and volleyball.

Myla Cabello - Zeke
Myla is happy to be part of this amazing production
of The Wizard of Oz. She has enjoyed
dancing, acting, singing, and spending time with

Amelia Galian - Miss Gulch
This will be Amelia’s third year with the River Place
Student Theatre. She loves singing, dancing, martial
arts, biking, and swimming. She loves watching
any cooking shows, musicals, and Broadway shows.
Most of all, she loves hanging out with friends, family,
and her 2 dogs and 3 cats! Saturday Night Role:

Morgan Jennings - Professor Marvel
Morgan is a fourth grader who loves to act, dance
and tell jokes. His previous performances with
RPST were in Aladdin and Shrek. This season,
Morgan will debut in his first lead role as Professor
Marvel! When he is not on stage Morgan can be
seen out on a field or on a court. He loves football,
soccer and basketball. Saturday Night Role: Row

Sarah Jurist - Glinda
Sarah is our “artist” in all ways. Whether it is singing,
dancing, drawing or creating with clay; Sarah is
always in her element with “the arts”. This is her 3rd
year with RPST, and 2nd year with a lead role. She
loves being a part of RPST. She is a great helper, a
team player and adores her castmates. Saturday

Bela Iglesias - Wicked Witch
Bela is an experienced actor who has performed
in many different shows with RPST such as “Aladdin”,
“The Little Mermaid” and “Shrek”. This year she
appeared in Summer Stock Austin’s “Annie, Get Your
Gun!” as Annie’s little sister. Bela is wrapping her
elementary career by being a little wicked in “The
Wizard of Oz”! Saturday Night Role: Featured Chorus

Aynalem Rehling - Scarecrow
Whether it’s on stage with RPST, jumping on stage
with bands in venues all over the world, singing in
the shower, dancing in the aisles at HEB or making
funny videos online, Aynalem loves to perform &
she always steals the show! She couldn’t be more
excited about her turn as Scarecrow in this year’s
production, her 3rd with RPST. Saturday Night Role:

Amberley Dorling - Tin Man
Having moved to the US from Guildford, England
in April 2017, this is Amberley’s 2nd performance in
The Wizard of Oz, but her first with RPST. She loves
dancing, acting, singing & directing her own creative
films. She’s participated in several theatre activities
in the UK & the US. She also enjoys swimming & her
dog. Saturday Night Role: Featured Chorus (Jitterbug,

Francisco Ardila - Lion
This is Francisco’s 4th and last RPST play since he is
going to FPMS next year. He started as The Seahorse
in The Little Mermaid, then he was Gingy in Shrek,
Young Simba in The Lion King, and this year he is
thrilled to be The Cowardly Lion! Besides acting he
loves to read and play soccer! Saturday Night Role:

Cooper Sigler - Oz
Cooper has been writing stories and making short
films for years! He loves to preform and entertain-
This is his first year to be a part of RPST and he could
not be more excited to be a big part of the production!
Coop enjoys playing football, tennis, wake
surfing and hanging out with his Aussie dogs and

Ellie Kim - Dorothy
This is Ellie`s final year with RPST and her family and
friends can`t wait to see her shine as Dorothy on
stage. This veteran not only loves to sing, dance and
act, but also loves to take photograph lesson, make a
movie, play piano and ukulele and is a very creative

Kain Gray- Toto
As a 2nd year veteran to the stage, Kain is thrilled
to be a part of yet another magical production with
RPST. He seems to have a knack for playing the role
of the loyal sidekick, starring in last year’s production
as the dignified Zazu and now the devoted
and lovable Toto. Offstage, Kain enjoys reading and

Kenzie Kudrick - Aunt Em
Kenzie’s 5th year in RPST. Kenzie is an aspiring actress
on stage and in film. She is a High Honor Roll
student who loves all Fine Arts and competitive
cheerleading. Kenzie spends her free time reading,
jumping on the trampoline, swimming and
hanging out with her friends. Kenzie is grateful for
the theatrical & musical training she received from

Adrian Dholakia - Uncle Henry
Adrian Dholakia is thrilled to be in his second
performance with River Place Student Theatre.

Jillian Hunter - Huck

Powell Jacob - Hickory
This is his first play with RPST. This isn’t his first
stage experience as he has performed with dance
over the past few years. He regularly enjoys singing,
dancing, & playing school with his siblings
at home. He also spends his time playing Lego,
drawing, & playing and creating board games. His
favorite subject at school is writing. Friday Night

Lindsey Saunders- Zeke
This is Lindsey’s 5th & final year with RPST. Her family
& friends can’t wait to see her portrayal of Zeke.
She has enjoyed cheer, gymnastics, piano & singing
but it is theatre that has won her first choice. She
has cherished all of her theatrical experiences. During
her free time she loves to laugh & play with her

Caroline Doss - Miss Gulch
This is Caroline’s 2nd year to perform in RPST. Since
performing in The Lion King last year, Caroline has
continued her love for acting by performing with
Adderley School of Performing Arts as Cinderella in
Into the Woods and as Hercules Mulligan and James
Madison in Hamilton. Outside of acting, she plays on
the Viper Basketball team and writes stories. Friday

Alex Martin - Professor Marvel
Alexandra has always had an inner actor waiting
to come out. She is grateful to RPST for giving her
the outlet, from the Pied Piper in Shrek, to Sarabi
in Lion King, to her present roles in the Wizard of
Oz. When she is not learning how to poppy dance
or guard the Emerald City, Alex plays volleyball and

Maritza Tomlinson - Glinda
Maritza has loved singing since she was little and has
been in RPST productions since Kinder. She has been
a nutty Scuttle, a fierce Dragon and a crazy Monkey
in Lion King. Every year she looks for a challenge,
and Glinda certainly will be glittery fun. She likes
spending time with friends, singing, and defying
gravity on her trampoline. Friday Night Role: Featured

Trishna Uribe - Wicked Witch
Trishna is so excited to be participating in her 6th
year of a RPST production!! From her debut role as
a Napkin in Beauty & the Beast to her last role as
Wicked Witch in the Wizard of Oz, Trishna has grown
her theatrical attributes with the RPST family & will
miss them tremendously for years to come. Friday

Cadie Cantu- Scarecrow
This is Cadie’s 6th and final year in RPST. She’s blossomed
from her first role as a teacup in Beauty and
the Beast to the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz. Cadie
loves to sing and dance on and off stage. She’s competitive
in soccer, enjoys making slime videos and
playing with friends when not on the stage or field.

Grayson Smith - Tin Man
Grayson is thrilled to play the Tin Man in this year’s
RPST production of The Wizard of Oz. This is his third
year in the cast, and he’s having a ball onstage. He is a
second grader who also loves to play football, swims
competitively and plays lacrosse. This Tin Man is all
heart, no hollow! Enjoy the show! Friday Night Role:

Diego Willebeek-LeMair - Lion
Diego is excited to be playing the Cowardly Lion in
his 5th River Place Student Theatre production. A
future Mars astronaut, Diego loves science, soccer
and singing. Being the youngest of 4 boys has
helped develop the skills needed to excel on stage;
he’s confident, vociferous, and very dramatic. Friday

Anders Wiley - Oz
Anders has had a very special journey in his 11 years.
He is one of the first babies to undergo heart surgery
in the womb. Anders’ story received national attention
from CBS News to an entire chapter in Dr. Sanjay
Gupta’s book “Cheating Death.” He enjoys robotics,
video games, sushi, and traveling with family.. Friday

Addison Bandelier - Munchkin/Jitterbug/
Winged Monkey
Fearless on the field and on stage, Addison is bringing
her natural show-stopping abilities to the RPST
production of Wizard of Oz. Addison has performed
in the Tarrytown UMC Christmas Play, the Adderly
School production of Into the Woods, and the RPE
and GVHE talent shows. When not in theater practice,
she is playing soccer, basketball, tennis, and golf.
Sydney Byrd - Apple Tree #3/Jitterbug/Winkie
Guard
Sydney fell in love with the theater at the age of 3
after watching a production of Peter pan. Since then
she’s been putting on plays and singing for her family.
This is her first year at River place student theater and
loves it !!! Sydney loves playing basketball, playing
with her cat named pig ,hanging out with her friends.
Sofia Carpenter- Mayor of Munchkinland/
Jitterbug/Winkie Guard
Cast your vote for Sofia and prepare to be amazed!
This is her 4th RPST production. Spoiler alert: Under
her watch, rainbows rule and wicked witches are
stopped dead in their tracks. There is nothing this girl
can’t do! She thanks and grants keys to the city to all
her awesome cast mates, Ms. Dionn and Miss Ruthie.
Rachel Chon - Barrister/Jitterbug - Featured
Dancer/Winkie Guard
Rachel is delighted to be joining the Wizard of Oz
at RPST. She is in the fifth grade, and her favorite
subjects are Math and Science. She also enjoys
reading, swimming, playing piano and tennis. This
is her first musical experience.
Faith Chon - Munchkin/Jitterbug - Featured
Dancer/Winged Monkey
Faith is excited about her first performance with
RPST. She is in the third grade and loves playing tennis,
singing, and dancing. She would like to thank her
mom and dad for their love and support..

Charley Clark - Munchkin/Jitterbug/Winged
Monkey
This is Charley’s first musical theatre performance
and she loves every minute of the experience!
Charley has enjoyed learning about the theatre and
acting. She is excited to play the role of a munchkin!
In her spare time, Charley loves to draw and
use her imagination to invent new things. She is
also an avid soccer player!
Reese Davis - Munchkin/Jitterbug/Winged
Monkey
Reese was born with a flair for drama. As a toddler,
she entertained her family with over the top stories
& made-up songs. She performed for anyone who
would listen, including an audience of stuffed animals
or nearby shoppers at H.E.B. When she’s not
in the spotlight, Reese enjoys swimming, learning
magic tricks & bossing around her little brother.
Kelsey Elliott - Munchkin/Jitterbug - Featured
Dancer/Winged Monkey
Kelsey is thrilled to be in her second performance
with RPST. From watching the classic screening to
her faithful commitment to rehearsals, she enjoys
entertaining with and for friends and family. We all
look forward to her sharing the joy of performance
with the fellow players and the audience alike on
opening night and for many years to come.
Drew Fieleke - Lollipop Guild/Jitterbug -
Featured Dancer/Winkie Guard
This is Drew’s first performance with RPST and
he is so excited to be a part of the Wizard of Oz.
When he isn’t at theater he can be found practicing
soccer or basketball. Drew loves riding his
bike, playing freeze tag with friends and eating 3-5
large apples per day.
Hannah Fogel - Lullaby League/Jitterbug -
Featured Dancer/Winged Monkey
As a kindergartener, Hannah is loving every minute of
her first year with RPST. She discovered her love for
showbiz after starring in her first tv commercial and
then landing 2 more. She also loves to sing and dance
and is currently on a dance team preparing for upcoming
competitions. She is fearless at just 5 years old!

Margaret Fontana - City Father 2 /
Jitterbug/Winkie Guard
Margaret is new to acting and to the RPST. She has
participated in talent shows both at Riverplace
Elementary and at Grandview Hills Elementary in
the past. When not in theatre practice, Margaret
enjoys playing soccer, basketball & softball a well as
cooking, baking & doing craft projects.
Benjamin Fournier - Lollipop Guild/
Jitterbug - Featured Dancer/Winged Monkey
Introducing!!.... Benjamin Fournier!! Better known
as Ben, this kiddo was ready to jump into RPST in
Kindergarten!! He loves tagging along with his big
sis, Isabella Fournier, and will totally rock the Lolly
Pop Guild Munchkin role!!
Isabella Fournier - Munchkin #2/
Jitterbug/Winged Monkey
Isabella is back for her second season of RPST
and loving every minute of it!! This child just
SHINES!!
Katelyn Gage - Munchkin/Jitterbug/Winged
Monkey1
Katelyn is a 1st grader this year and The Wizard of
Oz will be her 2nd RPST production. She made
her acting debut as the Field Mouse in last year’s
production of The Lion King. Katelyn also enjoys
Girl Scouts, tumbling and soccer.
Grace Garrett - Coroner/Jitterbug/Winkie
Guard
Grace loves to sing and is thrilled to have a part
this year with RPST. She was in the Lion King last
year in the chorus and is now hooked on theater
and costumes! Besides signing, Grace loves drawing
and running.

Kloe Garrett - Lullaby League/Jitterbug -
Featured Dancer/Winkie Guard
This is Kloe’s first time in RPST and she loves
it! She is so excited to have a dancing part and
also be in the chorus. She’s enjoying putting her
ballet and contemporary dance skills to work
for the play. Some of her favorite things besides
dancing are reading and swimming.
Katie Goldsworth - Munchkin/Jitterbug/
Winged Monkey
This is Katie’s first try at theater and she’s having a
blast! Katie is in the third grade and loves playing
soccer, horseback riding and making videos with
her friends.
Addyson Hadley - Munchkin/Jitterbug/
Winged Monkey
This is her second year in RPST. She loves the
anything where creativity is involved. Some
of her favorite things are drawing, animals, and
reading.!
Olivia Jacob - Coroner/Jitterbug/Winkie
Guard
This is her first experience with a full theatre production,
but she not new to the stage or acting.
She has been performing her own plays from the
time she was little, as well as annual dance recitals.
She loves to do most things crafty - especially
drawing. Reading is a daily favorite, but swimming
takes over in the summer.
Samar Khan - Apple Tree #2/Jitterbug/Winkie
Guards
This is Samar’s second year at RPST and she could’n’t
be happier! She loves the sense of community and
the friendships she has gained at rehearsals. Theater
has brought about a sense of confidence and
charisma in her that was just waiting to come out as
a star. Wish her all the best in the show!

Milana Kudrick - Barrister/Jitterbug/
Winkie Guard
Milana is proud to put her love of the spotlight
into ACTION with RPST! This is her 3rd performance
with RPST. She enjoys being outside
swimming, hiking, riding her bike and can also
be found cheerleading and tumbling. Milana
always has a smile and loves LIFE!!.
Harper Land - Munchkin/Jitterbug - Featured
Dancer/Winged Monkey
Harper is a theatrical girl that enjoys all kinds of music.
She is always singing and enjoys watching musicals.
This is her first year being in the RPE musical and she
could not be more excited! In her spare time when she
is not singing, she likes to draw, play with her friends
and do gymnastics.
Norah Linton - Apple Tree #1/Jitterbug/Winkie
Guard
This is Norah’s third year in RPST & she absolutely loves
it. Norah is a vivacious 3rd grader who thrives whenever
she is pursuing her passion of the month whether
building Lego structures, experimenting with slime or
researching anything Narwhal. She enjoys being part
of Girls troop 2287 & absolutely loves camping with
her fellow troop friends.
Lucy Luppino - Munchkin/Jitterbug/Winged
Monkey
This is Lucy’s first theater performance. Many of her
friends are in RPST and she is excited to perform She can
often be found singing around the house and being silly.
The Wizard of Oz has been one of her favorite movies
for years so she is very excited to get on stage as a
munchkin, jitterbug and winged monkey.

Madison Maguregui - Woman/Jitterbug -
Featured Dancer/Winkie Guard
2017 marks Madison’s 2nd year with RPST. Madison
enjoys acting & performing which makes RPST a perfect
home! Since the age of three, Madison has been in Dance
& Gymnastics & has recently joined the Pop Warner Viper
Cheerleading Team. Madison always gives 100% to everything
& plans to remain a part of the RPST Family for the
coming years!

Olivia Mason - Munchkin/Jitterbug/Winged
Monkey
Olivia is happy to be part of this amazing production
of The Wizard of Oz. She has enjoyed dancing, acting,
singing, and spending time with theatre friends.
Caoimhe McDaid - Munchkin #1/Jitterbug/
Winkie Guards
Caoimhe loves singing around the house and mimicking
people . This is her first time taking part in a
show.She thoroughly enjoys it and It has given her
confidence in herself. She loves going to the shows at
Zach Theatre . She also plays soccer and the ukelele..
Christopher Mireles - Lollipop Guild/Jitterbug
- Featured Dancer/Winkie Guard
Although this is Chris’ first production, he has always
been able to express himself with song and dance. He
is a gifted and talented student and has won art competitions.

and friends whenever they can
Maya Mireles - Jitterbug/Winkie Guard - Leader
Maya has always loved singing and performing.
Being a part of the “Wizard of Oz” is a valuable
experience for her. She is a skilled artist, dedicated
student and has competed in school talent shows.
Art, music and dancing are a big part of her life.!
Navya Modi - Lullaby League/Jitterbug - Featured Dancer/
Winkie Guards
Navya is making her theater debut in The Wizard of
Oz. Navya, a 3rd Grader, loves music, dance and is an
accomplished pianist. She is grateful to her friends
and family for their love and support and would like
to thank all those involved in the play for making
this a very rewarding experience..

Dancing since the age of 2 1/2 , Rosie loves
expressing herself onstage. She hopes to be a Majestic
next year and a Legacy when she reaches VHS.
Rosie’s light shines brightest when she is smiling and
performing. She blogs & draws in her spare time andhopes
to become an interior designer after college.

Jackie is excited to be performing for the third
time with RPST. Now as 2nd grader, she enjoys
acting, dancing, anything creative, being with
friends, and family adventures in the truck camper.
Her family and friends are so proud of her as she
continues to grow on stage. She is our bright star -
who is destined for great things!
Kaelyn Owens - Munchkin/Jitterbug/Winged
Monkey
Kaelyn has always been outgoing and loves to
entertain people. She is excited to be in her first
musical performance with River Place Student
Theatre. Kaelyn also enjoys reading, art, Brownies,
swimming and spending time with friends and
family.
Emma Pierson - Munchkin/Jitterbug/
Winged Monkey
This is Emma’s first musical theater performance
and she loves being in the Ensemble in The
Wizard of Oz. Emma spends her time playing
with her dogs, singing, dancing, gymnastics,
playing soccer, and enjoying time with her
family.
Haylee Pottichen - City Father 1/Jitterbug/
Winkie Guard
Haylee is extremely excited to participate in her first
play here at River Place Student Theatre. She has
been a performer at heart her whole life, loving to
sing and dance any chance she has. Haylee has taken
5 years of dance classes, and she enjoys soccer and
cheerleading as well. Taylor Swift is her inspiration..

Lily Moon has found a new love in theatre! She is
looking forward to trying out for a lead next year!
Moon is a terrific basketball player and loves playing
outdoors with her friends. She writes creative
short stories and has a silly sense of humor:) Moon
is also the best big sister on the planet.
Devyani Uribe - Munchkin/Jitterbug/Winged
Monkey
Devyani is thrilled to be part of RPST’s production
her 2nd year in a row! When not belting it out on
stage, Devyani can be found entertaining her family
with her melodious voice, and charming smile.
Although she has different characters that she is
playing, Devyani is really looking forward to being
a Flying Monkey to her big sister!
Ainsley Walker - Munchkin/Jitterbug/Winged
Monkey/Cat
This is Ainsley’s first theater performance, and she
has loved it! Singing, dancing, and performing
makes her so happy. At home, she’s always ready
to make us smile by putting on a dance show or
taking on a make-believe role. Ainsley also enjoys
T-ball, gymnastics, dance class, and swimming. Her
fun and charismatic nature brightens our days!

Justin comes from a long line of musicians and
would like to be a singer when he grows up. He
has worked very hard for his first play this year
and we are proud of his endurance. He enjoys
playing all sports and games with his friends.

Ava has made us smile everyday since the day she was
born. We are proud of her for having the courage to
tryout for her first play and influencing our family to
join in participating with this amazing production. Ava
is an amazing artist and enjoys all animals. She would
like to be a marine biologist when she grows up.

Winged Monkey - Nikko
Always has a smile on his face with a great attitude. He
loves his friends and family the most with kindness in
his heart. Best part of being cast in Riverplace Student
Theater is having fun and being part of something
wonderfull.
Milagro Wilson - Munchkin/Jitterbug/Winged
Monkey
This is the first time Milagro has participated in a full
musical theater performance. She is excited to be a
part of The Wizard of Oz. Milagro also enjoys math,
reading, drawing, painting, tennis, playing the piano,
Minecraft, playing with friends, and backpacking to far
away places with her parents and 2 year old brother.
