What are you doing for lunch? Chinese for under $10! 

How many times have you heard this? Well, we are 

fortunate to live in a sub-urban area with a couple of 

great Chinese lunches and let’s be real – we all look for and 

love a value. With this in mind I thought I would take this 

space and mention some of our current faves…. 

Lotus 8: Folsom. They serve the best Hot and Sour soup 

I have ever had! I mean just writing this makes my mouth 

water – and it comes with your lunch order. I turn to 

Prawns with Lobster Sauce or Orange Chicken, which are 

both stand outs for me! The service is always polite and 

quick as well! 

Sunny Garden – With almost all Lunch menu items under 

$10, Sunny Garden is another stand out restaurant with a 

great lunch menu. Lunch includes soup of the day and a 

choice between a crab cheese puff or egg roll. A couple 

of our favorites on the menu are the Broccoli Pork or 

Chicken, and the Crispy Honey Chicken. You also get 

Chow Mein, Fried Rice, Steamed Rice or Brown Rice. 

I can rarely finish my lunch at either place, although they 

are both so good I try to find a way. The service at both 

restaurants is always polite and quick and so good I would 

pay twice the price!
