4. You've arrived - Farway is a village in the old sense,
not suburbia, but houses dotted along the road
and between the fields and trees. The mist of cow
parsley in the hedgerows is delicate and ephemeral.
5. Flowering wistaria is another of those visual treats
you'll discover in many a cottage garden.
6. The footpath at the ford, handy when the river's
bearing a heavy flow of rainwater.
7. Copper beech - the blast of rich red can be amazing,
although fairly short-lived.
