Long Lake has events galore coming up in <strong>2018</strong>, our community is<br />
a giant summer camp for all ages. We offer paddling adventures, hiking<br />
adventures, competitions, live music and fun ways to create life-long<br />
memories.<br />
We kick the summer<br />
off with a traditional<br />
4th of July Celebration<br />
complete with fireworks<br />
in both Raquette Lake<br />
and Long Lake as well<br />
as Kids Games, Bed<br />
Races and Live Music<br />
with Grit N Grace a<br />
modern country, rock<br />
and dance band to help us celebrate and kick it up a notch. Look for<br />
them on the Long Lake Town Beach. On July 21, the US Waterski Show<br />
Team returns to perform their competition-ready performance piece. Human<br />
pyramids, jumps, and death-defying stunts will be featured. The US<br />
Waterski Show Teams wows the crowd Saturday, July 21st, Long Lake<br />
Town Beach 1204 Main Street. Park and ride, parking will be available<br />
Long Lake Central School and a shuttle bus will be provided. Look for<br />
snacks and food sold on site. The fun Cardboard Box Floating Competition<br />
starts at 11am - 1pm so come to Long Lake and stay all day.<br />
Durant Days in Raquette Lake<br />
celebrates the birth of Great Camps<br />
Architecture. Our <strong>Adirondack</strong> region is steeped with history, the<br />
evolution of train travel,historic American Iconic financial titans and the<br />
birthplace of the American Vacation. Do not miss this opportunity to enjoy<br />
a dining cruise on Raquette and access to Great Camps only available<br />
during this exclusive weekend Durant Days, August 3rd - 5th. On Friday,<br />
August 3rd, <strong>2018</strong> there is a special cruise with world-renowned Ragtime<br />
Pianist Bob Milne Call 315.354-5532 for reservations for the WW<br />
Durant cruise. Saturday enjoy Live Music with a cappella group Wide<br />
Variety and a Boat Parade at 7pm followed by Fireworks. On Sunday<br />
take advantage of a 1/2 price tour of Great Camp Sagamore and Vespers<br />
on St. Huberts Isle.<br />
In <strong>2018</strong> Long Lake will be hosting Music by the Lake featuring the<br />
Orchestra of the <strong>Adirondack</strong>s, the Lake Placid Sinfonietta on Friday, July<br />
13th. August sees the Bad Chaperones playing all the hits. All Music By<br />
the Lake Concerts will be held on the Long Lake Town Beach at 1204<br />
Main Street. Arrive by boat, car or the nature trail!<br />
And don’t miss out on our new community favorite, Outdoor Movie<br />
Nights heading our way on Sunday, July 8th, 22nd & Friday August 10th.<br />
Long Lake and Raquette Lake are both small <strong>Adirondack</strong> towns with<br />
authentic flavor. You don’t need more than the lakes, but there’s plenty to<br />
