Gold award for innovation<br />
At the prizegiving ceremony for<br />
the first German Innovation Award<br />
in Berlin, Gelita AG from Germany<br />
was awarded gold for its innovative<br />
detergent additive Novotec<br />
CB800.The jury was particularly<br />
impressed how the new surface<br />
protecting product offers a highly<br />
effective and environmentally<br />
friendly solution for industrial<br />
cleaning. Gelita's product is so<br />
effective that it greatly extends<br />
the cleaning cycle, saving water,<br />
energy and time and thus costs.<br />
Novotec CB800 is free of aggressive<br />
chemicals, skinfriendly and<br />
biodegradable. In the view of the<br />
jury, this will set new standards in<br />
the field of cleaning.<br />
The functional Novotec proteins<br />
are added to waterbased cleaning<br />
formulations. They form robust,<br />
waterattracting protective coatings<br />
on many surfaces. In contrast<br />
to the wellknown lotus effect –<br />
which repels water but allows<br />
waterinsoluble dirt to stick to the<br />
surface – particles of dirt float on<br />
the protein film and are simply<br />
washed away on contact with<br />
water . This produces a selfcleaning<br />

Continuity at the italian Consorzio<br />
del Prosciutto di Parma: Vittorio<br />
Capanna remains at the top. The<br />
Governing Board confirmed the<br />
President of the Consortium of<br />
Parma Ham Producers in office for<br />
another three years.<br />
Capanna, who has been helding<br />
this position since June 2015, has<br />
been Director of Capanna Prosciutti<br />
since 1994. From 2007 to 2009<br />
he was a member of the board of<br />
the Istituto Parma Qualità and<br />
subsequently advised the Consorzio<br />
del Prosciutto di Parma.<br />
From 1969 to 1974 he held a management<br />
position at Chevron Oil<br />
Italiana SpA in Rome and was<br />
subsequently a manager at Cassa<br />
di Risparmio di Parma e Piacenza<br />
until joining the family business.<br />

Nitsch named Sales Director<br />
Since May <strong>2018</strong>, Reinhard Nitsch<br />
has been advising <strong>international</strong><br />
clients and prospects of the Meat<br />
Cracks group from Germany.<br />
In his professional career, the<br />
skilled butcher and certified meat<br />
technologist already worked in<br />
various positions in the meat<br />
processing industry, including as<br />
R&D manager, production and<br />
sales manager. Since Reinhard<br />
Reinhard Nitsch already worked in<br />
various positions in the meat<br />
industry.<br />
Nitsch also lived and worked in<br />
different countries of the world, he<br />
has the necessary knowhow and<br />
sensitivity for the <strong>international</strong><br />
sector.<br />

optimizations, product innovations<br />
