The NorthEast Foundation’s 24th annual black-tie

event – Old Hollywood: Red Carpet Gala was another

successful event, as we celebrated the golden age of

Hollywood with the elegance and class of the leading

ladies and men. The gala raised over $104,000 for

the NorthEast Foundation providing funding for

innovative programs, specialized equipment and

additional needs for CHS NorthEast to fulfill its

mission to Improve Health, Elevate Hope and

Advance Healing — for all.

This black-tie affair benefiting our hospital

was held on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at the

Cabarrus Arena and Events Center. The event

was attended by over 450 community members

and included a live and silent auction, the

presentation of the Lillibridge Outstanding

Physician Award and live music at the end of

the evening.

Attendees walked the red carpet, were

greeted by Marilyn Monroe and asked to do

a live interview with Memories 98.3 FM. Once

guests arrived inside the Arena they were

transported to another day and time. The

Arena was adorned with a Walk of Fame,

VIP lounges, chandeliers, music from a baby

grand piano and elegant table tops.

Next year will be the 25th Anniversary for

the Foundation and its Gala. Stay tuned for

exciting announcements regarding plans to

celebrate our silver anniversary!

Thank You Bill and Ann Cannon, Honorary Chairs

CHS NORTHEAST

was awarded a two-year grant from The Duke

TEAMMATE GIVING CAMPAIGN

EXCEEDS GOAL FOR 2018!

The annual NorthEast Foundation Teammate

Giving Campaign allows our teammates to help

OUR HOSPITAL. This year, the 2018 NorthEast

Foundation Teammate Giving Campaign had a

goal of raising $273,000. Thanks to our amazing

CHS NorthEast teammates and their commitment

and dedication to our hospital, THEY raised a total

of $278,000 during the 6-week Teammate Giving

Campaign through payroll deductions and onetime

gifts.

Our teammates at CHS NorthEast understand

more than anyone the importance of care and

support for our patients and families at our

community hospital. Patient need is great, and to

meet the demand for exceptional healthcare close

to home, our hospital needs philanthropic support

to continue to provide infrastructure, technology,

equipment and educational programs.

A total of 115 new teammates signed up for the

campaign and 136 teammates increased their

pledge this year. The NorthEast Foundation

is grateful to the nearly 2,000 teammates that

support our hospital through the NEF Teammate

Giving Campaign.
