Aesthetic Dermatology and Surgery Preventive, Anti-Aging and Well-Being Medicine<br />

Brian BIESMAN is Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon in Nashville. He<br />

has spoken and taught at the local, national and international levels on the use of<br />

surgery, lasers, and radiofrequency for facial rejuvenation. He has authored many<br />

scientific papers and has written a textbook on the use of lasers in cosmetic and<br />

reconstructive surgery.<br />

Wayne CAREY is Associate Professor of Dermatology at Royal Victoria Hospital, and<br />

Director of Dermatology and Surgery at McGill University, Montreal, Canada<br />

Alastair CARRUTHERS is Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of<br />

British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. He has lectured worldwide on a variety of<br />

subjects pertaining to cosmetic ophthalmology, including the cosmetic use of the<br />

BOTOX® procedure, which he founded with his wife Jean, in 1987. Since this time,<br />

they have publishing numerous articles using their data.<br />

Mauricio DE MAIO is a board certified Plastic Surgeon from the Brazilian Society of<br />

Plastic Surgery and member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic<br />

Surgery. He works in Sao Paolo, Brazil. He is actively involved in research and<br />

teaching in international training courses in North, Central and South America,<br />

Europe and Asia.<br />

Alina FRATILA is Dermatologist and Phlebologist, Director of the Jungbrunnen-<br />

Klinik in Bonn. She has been President of the International Society for<br />

Dermatological Surgery. She has authored many scientific papers on laser therapies<br />

Raùl GONZALEZ is Plastic Surgeon in Sao Paulo, Brazil. In the past 20 years he has<br />

spent most of his time studying the esthetics of the buttocks, having created new<br />

concepts and techniques that came to interest surgeons worldwide. He has been<br />

guest speaker at many international conferences and workshops.<br />

Raj KANODIA is a well respected and leading Plastic Surgeon in Beverly Hills, USA.<br />

He is sought out by patients throughout the US, as well as around the world. He<br />

has published numerous medical articles and is often a guest lecturer at international<br />

medical conferences.<br />

Andreas KATSAMBAS is Professor of Dermatology and Venereology at the University<br />

of Athens, Greece. President of the European Academy of Dermatology and<br />

Venereology. Author of over 170 publications in international journals and numerous<br />

chapters in international books.<br />

Bruce E. KATZ is Clinical Professor of Dermatology and Director of the Cosmetic<br />

Surgery & Laser Clinic at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Director of the Juva<br />

Skin & Laser Center in New York, USA. He is a leading innovator of advanced laser<br />

technologies. He has published extensively in leading medical and scientific journals.<br />

Martina KERSCHER is Professor of Dermatology in Hamburg, Germany. She is<br />

regarded as advocate of scientifically based dermocosmetics. She contributes her<br />

expertise in her work for the Gesellschaft für Dermopharmazie.<br />

Brian M. KINNEY is a member of the Honorary Society, American Association of<br />

Plastic Surgeons. He serves on the Board of Directors of ASAPS, ASPS, PSEF in the<br />

USA and was elected the President of PSEF in 2005-2006. Internationally, Dr.<br />

Kinney serves on the Board of Directors and is Parliamentarian at IPRAS. He is most<br />

recently appointed the Chairman of the Board of the National Endowment for<br />

Plastic Surgery in the USA.<br />

Marina LANDAU is Dermatologist at the Dermatology Unit, Edith Wolfson Medical<br />

Center, Holon, Israel and Private Practice. She was President of the Israel Society of<br />

Dermatologic Surgery (2006-2008). She published more than 60 scientific articles<br />

in leading Dermatologic journals. She is an author of chapters in Dermatology and<br />

Dermatologic Surgery textbooks.<br />

Sebastião NELSON EDY GUERRA is Plastic Surgeon in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He is<br />

the General Secretary of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery.<br />

Malcolm PAUL is Clinical Professor of Surgery in Newport Beach, USA. He has been<br />

selected for and included in Best Doctors in America®, Orange County Top Doctors,<br />

and Guide to Top Doctors (Center for the Study of Services Publication). He has held<br />

various offices such as Past President, American Society for Aesthetic Plastic<br />

Surgery, and Past President, Orange County Society of Plastic Surgeons, Inc.<br />

Michael SCHEFLAN is Plastic Surgeon at the Atidim Medical Center in Tel Aviv,<br />

Israël. Board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He has for the last<br />

20 years traveled extensively to educate himself and teach others. In doing so he<br />

has gained world wide recognition and was awarded in 1999 and 2002 as best<br />

panelist by the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.<br />

SENYUVA Cemal is Professor of Plastic Surgery in Istambul, Turkey.<br />

Christopher ZACHARY is Professor and Chair of Dermatology at the University of<br />

California at Irvine. He is one of the nation's leading researchers and clinicians with<br />

developing and using laser-assisted treatments to rejuvenate aging and damaged skin.<br />

He has published many articles on diseases of the skin, both research and clinical, and<br />

is a regular contributor to academic meetings both in the USA and abroad.<br />

Wilmar ACCURSIO is Endocrinologist and Nutritionist in Sao Paolo, Brazil.<br />

He is Brazilian Member of the Congress' International Scientific Advisory<br />

Board, President of the Brazilian Society of Anti-aging, General Secretary of<br />

the Brazilian Society of Aesthetic Medicine. He is also Coordinator of the<br />

Course of Anti-Aging Medicine in Brazil.<br />

Damien DOWNING is specialist in nutritional and environmental medicine.<br />

He was a co-founder of the British Society for Nutritional Medicine in 1983,<br />

and is the current president of its successor, the British Society for<br />

Ecological Medicine. He also co-founded the Journal of Nutritional and<br />

Environmental Medicine in 1990, and is now its editor-in-chief. Dr Damien<br />

Downing practises Ecological Medicine: Allergy, Environment and Nutrition.<br />

Giovanni GAMBASSI is Professor of Gerontology and Geriatrics at the<br />

Catholic University of Rome, Italy. He serves as an ad hoc expert for the<br />

United Nations, WHO, and OECD. Dr. Gambassi is an author of over 150<br />

original publications and numerous review articles and book chapters; he<br />

has been an invited speaker in over 200 occasions.<br />

Glenn GIBSON is Professor of Food Microbiology, Head of Food Microbial<br />

Sciences at university of Reading, UK and internationally recognized expert<br />

in microbiology. His areas of interest are: Gut microbiology, probiotics,<br />

prebiotics. He is the President of the International Scientific Association for<br />

Probiotics and Prebiotics.<br />

Johanes HUBER is Professor of Gynaecology, Chairman of the Gynaecology<br />

Dept. at the University of Vienna, General Hospital of Vienna, Austria. He is<br />

member of the Board of Directors of Austrian Society for IVF and of Austrian<br />

Society of Endocrinology. He is Expert of the Austrian Parliament for<br />

Assisted Reproduction and Expert of Special Committee for Contraceptives<br />

in the German Bundestag. His mean Research Projects are Gender Specific<br />

Medicine and Combined Endoscopical Endocrine Surgery.<br />

Xiaoyan JIANG, MD, PhD, is Associate Professor, Dpt of Medical Genetics,<br />

Univ. of British Columbia. Senior Scientist in the Terry Fox Laboratory of the<br />

BC Cancer Agency, Vancouver, Canada. She is also an Adjunct Professor at<br />

the Shanghai Institute of Medical Genetics of the Shanghai Jiao Tong Univ.<br />

School of Medicine.<br />

Peter C. KONTUREK is Professor of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology,<br />

1st Dpt of Medicine, University Erlangen Nuremberg, Germany. Head of<br />

Gastroenterological Research Laboratory and Nutrition Team, and Deputy<br />

Head of Endoscopy Unit at the same institution.<br />

Frederick NAFTOLIN, MD, PhD, FACOG, FRCOG, is Professor of Obstetrics<br />

and Gynecology. Director, Reproductive Biology Research, co-director Interdisciplinary<br />

program in Menopause Medicine at New York University School<br />

of Medicine. He is the author of more than 600 original publications and<br />

reviews, has edited 12 books and is an editor/associate editor of three journals.<br />

He has been honored by the Arnaldo Bruno Prize of the Italian Academy<br />

(Lincei) in 2002. He is currently on the Executive Board of the International Society of<br />

Gynecological Endocrinology (ISGE) and the Society for Experimental Biology and Medicine.<br />

Jean-François NARBONNE is Professor of Food and environmental<br />

Toxicology at the University Bordeaux 1, France. The scientific and technical<br />

fields of work concern the application recent knowledge in molecular<br />

mechanisms of toxicity to development of biomarkers to biomedical,<br />

toxicological and environmental problems, bridging human health and<br />

environmental sciences: Toxicology of PAHs, PCBs, Dioxins, Pesticides;<br />

Protective effects of anti-oxidants, vitamins and food micro components; Biomarkers<br />

related to biotransformation, free radical metabolism and DNA alterations and endocrine<br />

disruption. He is Expert at the National Food Safety Agency (AFSSA).<br />

Daniel PELLA, MD, PhD, FICC, FICN, is Professor of Cardiology and Head of<br />

Preventive and Sports Medicine Centre at Louis Pasteur Univ. Hospital and<br />

Faculty of Medicine, Kosice, Slovakia. President Elect of the International<br />

College of Nutrition, Executive Director of the International College of<br />

Cardiology, Scientific secretary of the Slovak Association of Atherosclerosis<br />

& Chairman of the Control Committee of the Slovak Society of Cardiology.<br />

Philippe PICCERELLE is Professor of Pharmacology in Marseille, France. He<br />

is expert in galenic and cosmetology at Aix / Marseille Pharmacy University<br />

& CNRS (National Scientific Research Centre) Chemical Complex System.<br />

Marcel ROBERFROID, PhD, is Professor of biochemistry, drug metabolism,<br />

toxicology and food toxicology, at the Catholic University of Louvain,<br />

Belgium. Professor Roberfroid is also Co-inventor of the prebiotic/synbiotic<br />

concepts.<br />

Alfred S. WOLF is Professor of Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Endocrinology<br />

and Reproductive Medicine and Laboratory Medicine at the University of<br />

Ulm (Germany), working in the filed of Anti-Aging and Preventive Medicine<br />

since 1999. He is Chairman of the 1 st European “Master of Science for<br />

Preventive Medicine” at the Dresden International University.<br />

Toshikazu YOSHIKAWA is Professor of Molecular Gastroenterology and<br />

Hepatology at Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine Graduate School of<br />

Medical Science. President of Japanese Society of Anti-Aging Medicine,<br />

Society for Free Radical Research Japan, Former President of the Society for<br />

Free Radical Research.
