Affordable luxury is the new buzz word in the hotel industry. Targeted towards
the domestic tourist, hotels have shifted focus towards the domestic leisure
traveller. Vacation breaks are no more once in a year ritual. Experience and
indulgence is in demand. We now see top end hotel chains in India offering
domestic packages, which once were only marketed to the foreign tourists.
It's a matter of time when these high end products will majorly welcome only
Indian guests. The strategy of Hospitality industry on Indian domestic market
has starting to bear fruits. The growth will be sustainable as domestic market
is shielded from the outside world.
As a country we are failing again and again to attract real foreign tourist. It's a
matter of time when a high spending foreign groups will become a rare
community in the Indian tourism landscape. However the potential is immense,
only if we can solve the basic infrastructure and hygiene problems.
Over the past one year many hotels have changed their names, shifting to the
different brands. Ideally, hotels owners' should avoid frequent changing of
brand names as it creates confusion among the customers. Only if the product
is changing, a new brand name is justified.

country, both in print & digital media section. With record viewership of the
digital edition, it is only going to go up this year. We are committed to promote
