Burland and Electropatent International have
fully adopted the principals of the circular
economy. Recently they removed several
hundred desk power bars which had been
installed between 15 to 18 years. The client
wanted them upgraded by removing the
switch and fuse and replaced with RCBOs to
meet the latest regulations. This was done with
minimal waste and the product is good for
another 20 years! Others would dispose and
replace with new!

Support the Furniture Makers’ Welfare Campaign
The Furniture Makers’ Company, the furnishing industry’s charity, is appealing to the entire sector to
support its 2018 welfare campaign by hanging its new poster to help spread the word that it can support
industry workers past and present if they have fallen on hard times.
The organisation is calling on employers within the industry to get behind the initiative and hang copies of
the poster in offices, factories and other designated staff areas.
The Furniture Makers’ Company provides financial assistance to workers within the industry through
grants.
