Orlando boasts an eclectic variety of cultural events,<br />

performance troupes and arts centers. Theater groups,<br />

museums and local attractions offer something to suit everyone.<br />

For those looking to learn for themselves, there<br />

are numerous music and dance schools, as well as art<br />

and acting studios that can teach students the skills they<br />

need to become true artists. Southwest Orlando Bulletin’s<br />

14th annual The Arts segment offers an up-close look<br />

at some of the area’s most popular venues, groups and<br />

experienced schools.<br />

Animation Academy<br />

Traditional and digital courses at<br />

Elite Animation Academy begin<br />

Sept. 8. Instructed by former Disney<br />

animators — virtual, after school and<br />

on Saturdays — on the second floor<br />

at 8933 Conroy-Windermere Road in<br />

Orlando, courses are offered for children<br />

and adults. They accept age 8-older.<br />

Students learn traditional animation,<br />

anime/manga, character design, comics<br />

and cartooning, foundational drawing,<br />

sketching, illustration and 2-D/3-D animation;<br />

and all supplies are provided.<br />

The cost is $750 for a 10-week in-studio
