2. Active/Voting Members<br />

a. Eligibility. In order for an accepted Member to become a Voting Member, he/she<br />

MUST:<br />

1) Be a born-again believer in Christ who is current in attendance (attend<br />

worship services regularly) obligations. Hebrews 10:25;<br />

2) Be a regular supporter of the financial/giving program of Tithes <strong>and</strong><br />

Offerings Malachi 3:8-10; Matthew 23:23; II Corinthians 9:6-8:<br />

b. Voting Privileges. Members having voting privileges shall be entitled to vote<br />

when present in person at any business meeting of the membership called for the purpose of<br />

voting on any issue with respect to which a vote is required as provided in this Constitution.<br />

c. Proxy <strong>and</strong> Secret Ballots. Voting Members shall not be entitled to vote by proxy,<br />

<strong>and</strong> there will be no SECRET BALLOT VOTING allowed at this Church except for members<br />

who have been previously cleared or authorized by the church.<br />

d. Compliance. Any Voting Member of this Church who neglects to attend worship<br />

services, <strong>and</strong>/or the observance of the Lord’s Supper of this Church for any consecutive three<br />

(3) months or for the same length of time fails to contribute of his/her means to support the<br />

ministry <strong>and</strong> Church shall be urged by the Pastor <strong>and</strong> Deacons to return to duty. If he/she fails<br />

to do so, following the fourth (4 th ) consecutive month, his/ her name shall be transferred<br />

automatically from the active (voting) membership roll to the inactive (nonvoting) memberships<br />

roll. Illness <strong>and</strong> age are exceptions only if the Pastor or Deacons are notified.<br />

e. Annual Review. An annual review of membership shall be conducted by the<br />

Chairman of the Finance Committee, the Church Clerk <strong>and</strong> Membership Secretary to<br />

determine the participation of the members.<br />
