3. Inactive/Nonvoting Members<br />
a. Any Voting Member of this Church who neglects to attend worship services,<br />
<strong>and</strong>/or the observance of the Lord’s Supper of this Church for any consecutive three (3)<br />
months or for the same length of time fails to contribute of his/her means to support the<br />
ministry <strong>and</strong> Church shall be urged by the Pastor <strong>and</strong> Deacons to return to duty. If he/she<br />
fails to do so, following the fourth (4 th ) consecutive month, his/ her name shall be<br />
transferred automatically from the active (voting) membership roll to the inactive (nonvoting)<br />
memberships roll.<br />
b. Members whose name appears on the church roll <strong>and</strong> they regularly attend or<br />
have joined another church, or they have moved <strong>and</strong> permanently resides in another city, or<br />
they just cannot be found are expunged/removed from the church roll all together.<br />
c. Inactive members will be carried on the church rolls for one year after being<br />
moved into an inactive status. These individuals are bound by the following regulations:<br />
1) They are prohibited from voting on any church issue or in any church<br />
election or holding any elected or appointed office/position in the church:<br />
2) They are allowed to have their funeral at the church; however, the family<br />
must bear full financial responsibility for the repast. In addition, the church has no<br />
responsibility for providing a floral arrangement for the funeral or a financial contribution to<br />
the family (See Article VII, Miscellaneous, Section 17, Funerals).<br />
3) Inactive members <strong>and</strong> members of their immediate household may be<br />
wed in the church; however, they must pay the full rental fee for usage of the church. (See<br />
Article VII, Miscellaneous, Section 16, Weddings).<br />
d. The mechanism for members moving from the inactive to the active membership<br />
roll is outlined below:<br />
