POLICIES AND PROCEDURES MANUAL<br />
Morning Star Baptist Church<br />
Gulfport, Mississippi<br />
1) Inactive members may be restored to “Active” status by regularly attending<br />
worship services, the observance of the Lord’s Supper of this Church <strong>and</strong> financially<br />
supporting the church for three (3) consecutive months.<br />
2) Financial envelopes <strong>and</strong> church records will be used to determine/verify the<br />
member’s financial support of the church.<br />
4. Removal from the Roll<br />
a. Membership in this Church may be suspended or terminated by:<br />
1) Letter of dismissal or transfer to another church of like faith;<br />
2) By erasure upon evidence of membership in another church;<br />
b. Dropping from active membership roll for:<br />
1) Failure to contribute;<br />
2) Failure to attend worship services;<br />
3) Causing discord/division amongst the membership, i.e. instituting a court<br />
case/suit against the Pastor, Board of Deacon, <strong>and</strong>/or Church: Proverbs 6:16-19; Matthew<br />
18:15-19; Romans 16:27;<br />
4) By personal written request;<br />
5) By death;<br />
6) By exclusion following church disciplinary action.<br />
c. At the Church’s discretion, inactive members may be removed from the<br />
membership on the affirmative vote of 60% of the members present <strong>and</strong> voting at any<br />
meeting of the members where such motion is presented for vote. If after one year of<br />
