POLICIES AND PROCEDURES MANUAL<br />
Morning Star Baptist Church<br />

b. Principle Function: To assist the church in matters related to the<br />
administration of employed personnel.<br />
c. Selection: The Personnel Committee consists of nine members; three<br />
deacons (one of which is church Treasurer), Financial Secretary, Chairman of<br />
Trustees, <strong>and</strong> four laypersons. This committee shall elect four officers: Chairman, Vice-<br />
Chairman, Secretary, <strong>and</strong> Assistant Secretary. All members of the Personnel Committee are<br />
appointed by the Deacon Board.<br />
d. Duties: To achieve its purpose, the Personnel Committee will:<br />

6) Serve as a liaison committee between any employee <strong>and</strong> the church.<br />
7) Recommend additional church staff positions as needed by the church.<br />
8) Develop, recommend, maintain <strong>and</strong>/or update personnel policies.<br />
9) Encourage professional growth <strong>and</strong> development for all staff.<br />
