POLICIES AND PROCEDURES MANUAL<br />
Morning Star Baptist Church<br />

e. Duties:<br />
1) Maintain a health room.<br />
2) Provide support to the Ushers during Church service, Only If Called Upon.<br />
3) Assist at funerals, if needed.<br />
4) A church nurse may act as a health educator, a referral source or liaison with<br />
the community; educate or facilitate the education of volunteers; or provide information on<br />
the interrelationship between faith <strong>and</strong> health. Church nurses organize health fairs, provide<br />
caregiver training <strong>and</strong> educate congregation members about ethical <strong>and</strong> moral health issues<br />
<strong>and</strong> provide first aid to the ill or injured.<br />
Note: Remember that crowd control is most important when attending to the<br />
needs of a person who becomes ill in the Congregation. Try to remove the person away from<br />
the crowd soon <strong>and</strong> as quietly as possible.<br />
6. Ministry Chairperson<br />
a. Accountable: Pastor, Board of Deacons <strong>and</strong> Congregation<br />
b. Function: Oversee/facilitate the activities of the specified auxiliary.<br />
c. Selection: By members of the Ministry<br />
a. Duties: The Ministry Chairperson should be present at all designated meetings<br />
<strong>and</strong> be prepared to make a report as designated. If a Ministry Chairperson cannot be<br />
present, he/she should have a representative at the meeting to make the report.<br />
7. Conducting Church Business Meetings<br />
a. Church business meeting will be conducted in accordance with Robert’s Rules of<br />
Order.<br />
