POLICIES AND PROCEDURES MANUAL Morning Star Baptist Church Gulfport, Mississippi b. The Pastor shall be the Moderator. In the absence of the Pastor, the Chairman of Deacons shall serve as Moderator. In the absence of these two, the church secretary calls the church to order and a moderator pro-temp shall be elected. 1) It shall be the duty of the Moderator to keep order and facilitate the meeting. 2) He shall cause every meeting to be opened and closed by prayer. 3) He shall conduct the business of the church in the following order: a) Call to Order b) Opening Prayer c) Adoption of the Agenda d) Read the minutes of the previous meeting. e) Pastor’s Report f) Board of Deacons’ Report g) Reports of committees and auxiliaries. h) Unfinished Business i) New business j) Announcement k) For the Good of Order l) Closing Prayer m) Adjournment 37 Adopted for Implementation by the membership, July 16, 2018

A “Conflict of Interest” is any circumstance described in MSBC Conflict of Interest Policy. b. A “Responsible Person” is any person serving as an officer, employee, or member of the board of deacons and trustees of Morning Star Baptist Church. c. A “Family Member” is a spouse, parent, child, or spouse of a child, brother, sister, or spouse of a brother or sister, of a Responsible Person. d. A situation that has the potential to undermine the impartiality of a person because of the possibility of a clash between the person's self-interest and Church interest or public interest. e. A situation in which a party's responsibility to the church limits his/her ability to discharge his/her responsibility to the church. f. Persons Concerned - This policy is directed to the Pastor, Deacons, Trustees, Ministers, volunteer leaders, employees, and any others who serve as “Church Representatives” in representing Morning Star Baptist Church in financial, legal, contractual, or employment matters. g. The Conflict of Interest Form shall be signed by the above applicable individuals. The original signed copy will be maintained by the Church Secretary. NOTE: A copy of the Conflict of Interest Policy can be obtained from the Church Secretary. 38 Adopted for Implementation by the membership, July 16, 2018
