the Church Secretary or any member of the <strong>MSBC</strong> Security Assessment Committee.<br />

4. Youth Messengers’ Code of Conduct & Dress Code<br />

a. Code of Conduct. On Thursday, May 16, 2013, the Morning Star Baptist<br />

Church Board of Deacons adopted/ approved/ ratified the Code of Conduct <strong>and</strong> Dress Code<br />

for Youth Messengers set forth by the General Missionary Baptist Convention of Mississippi,<br />

Inc. under the leadership of Dr. Isiac Jackson, President, <strong>and</strong> Rev. Arthur A. Sutton,<br />

Executive Director - Young People’s Department.<br />

b. The General Missionary Baptist State Convention of Mississippi, Inc. is a<br />

Christian organization based on the principles set forth in the Bible, God’s Holy Word.<br />

Therefore, all conduct displayed by messengers should reflect those values <strong>and</strong> morals that<br />

are pleasing to God <strong>and</strong> the entire Christian fellowship. Any conduct less than positive will<br />

be dealt with swiftly <strong>and</strong> firmly.<br />

c. Conference Conduct:<br />

1) Youth Messenger conduct is the responsibility of the chaperone assigned by<br />

the messenger’s church. Messengers shall keep their chaperones informed of their<br />

activities <strong>and</strong> whereabouts at all times. One chaperone shall be responsible for no more<br />

than five (5) messengers.<br />

2) Messengers are expected to attend all sessions <strong>and</strong> scheduled activities.<br />

Please be prompt <strong>and</strong> show respect for others. Messengers will follow directions of those in<br />

authority. Displaying disrespect <strong>and</strong> being confrontational to those in charge will result in a<br />

removal of your messenger status. Parents <strong>and</strong> Pastors will be notified, <strong>and</strong> child will be<br />

sent home immediately.<br />

3) Messengers are to report any accidents, injuries <strong>and</strong> illnesses to their<br />

chaperones immediately.<br />
