2) When there is to be a soloist, it will be the responsibility of the bride to see<br />
that the soloist contacts the pianist, or organist. In order to help ensure a beautiful wedding<br />
<strong>and</strong> also to maintain high musical st<strong>and</strong>ards, all soloists or vocalists’ selections must be<br />
of a spiritual content. Popular classics or blues will not be permitted in the sanctuary<br />
unless prior approval is obtained.<br />
3) Arrangements for live music to be played at the reception must be approved<br />
by the Wedding Committee, if it is held in the church’s Family Life Center/Multi-Purpose<br />
Building.<br />
e. Photographers<br />
If it is desired to have pictures, it is the responsibility of the bride to instruct the<br />
photographers that no flash pictures are permissible in the sanctuary once the ceremony<br />
begins (pictures of bride entering <strong>and</strong> leaving are excluded from this requirement). Pictures<br />
may be taken of the bridal party following the completion of the services. The official<br />
photographer or any other person WILL NOT be allowed in the pulpit area, unless the Pulpit<br />
Area has previously been converted into a stage.<br />
f. Flowers <strong>and</strong> Decorations<br />
1) Whenever c<strong>and</strong>les are used, they must be of the dripless variety <strong>and</strong> must<br />
be in c<strong>and</strong>elabras which will catch <strong>and</strong> contain all drippings, <strong>and</strong> the floor will be thoroughly<br />
protected. Florists will be held directly responsible for the cleaning of wax from all floor<br />
coverings <strong>and</strong> furniture in every case.<br />
2) Under no conditions shall decorations be attached to the pews or the<br />
furniture by pinning, gluing, or nailing. Masking or clear Scotch tape may be used. When<br />
facilities are use on Saturday night, all decorations, flowers, palms, <strong>and</strong> other equipment<br />
shall be removed from the church building immediately following its use in order that the<br />
facility will be ready for Sunday worship service.<br />
