18. Keys<br />
Keys to the entrances of the church shall be issued to the pastor, deacons, trustees,<br />
janitor, church secretary <strong>and</strong> others as approved. Access to keys to the moving vehicles of<br />
the church (vans, etc.) is limited to the Pastor <strong>and</strong> the designated operator of the vehicle.<br />
Access to keys to the pastor’s <strong>and</strong> secretary’s office is limited to the Pastor, secretary,<br />
Chairman of Board of Deacons <strong>and</strong> Chairman of Security. Access to keys to the finance<br />
office is limited to the members of the Finance Committee, Chairman of the Board of<br />
Deacons, <strong>and</strong> Chairman of Security. Access to keys to all other interior doors of the church<br />
is limited to the pastor, secretary, deacons, trustees, <strong>and</strong> janitor. Security Access<br />
Keys/Cards are controlled by the Chairman of Security in coordination with the Chairman of<br />
the Board of Deacons <strong>and</strong> Trustees.<br />
19. Scheduling Events at the Church<br />
a. Major activities <strong>and</strong> events planned throughout the year, utilizing the Church<br />
facility must be approved by the Church through the Board of Deacons <strong>and</strong> scheduled<br />
through the Secretary’s Office. Any activity, program, special day, or event scheduled during<br />
worship service must be approved by the Pastor.<br />
b. When a pastor or minister of another church is used in the program, special day,<br />
or activity they must be approved by the Pastor <strong>and</strong> officially invited by the Pastor.<br />
20. Selecting Evangelists for Revival<br />
It shall be the sole responsibility <strong>and</strong> authority of the pastor to select an evangelist for<br />
the church’s annual Spring Revival which shall begin Monday after the third Sunday in May.<br />
In the absence of a Pastor, the Chairman of the Board of Deacon shall make the selections.<br />
21. Selecting Ministers <strong>and</strong> Speakers for Annual Days<br />
a. Only ministers <strong>and</strong> speakers from within the mainline Protestant Denomination<br />
may be selected to speak at Morning Star Baptist Church. These ministers <strong>and</strong> speakers<br />
should exemplify strong Christian character. They should be of “honest report, full of the<br />
