POLICIES AND PROCEDURES MANUAL<br />
Morning Star Baptist Church<br />
Gulfport, Mississippi<br />
1) providing proof that they earn less than $20,000.00 annually or<br />
2) evidence that it would create a financial hardship for the individual or family.<br />
II.<br />
CHURCH LEADERSHIP<br />
1. Officers<br />
The Officers of Morning Star Baptist Church shall be: Pastor, Deacons, Treasurer,<br />
Financial Secretary, Church Clerk, <strong>and</strong> Trustees.<br />
2. Pastor<br />
a. Accountable to: Board of Deacons <strong>and</strong> the Congregation<br />
b. Principle Function: To lead the church in spiritual growth by giving personal<br />
directions to its total ministry, working through all duly constituted officers <strong>and</strong> committees in<br />
promotion of the church program.<br />
c. Selection: The Pastor shall be called for an indefinite period by two-thirds (⅔)<br />
vote of the active members present in a duly authorized business meeting. The prospective<br />
pastor must be the unanimous recommendation of a Pastor Search Committee duly elected<br />
by the church.<br />
d. Fringe benefit package: The Pastor life insurance policy shall be divided<br />
equally (50/50) between the family <strong>and</strong> the church. 401K percentage shall be based on<br />
salary only, does not include fringe benefit.<br />
e. Duties <strong>and</strong> Responsibilities:<br />
1) The Pastor shall be a spiritual leader of high Christian character <strong>and</strong> a duly<br />
ordained Baptist minister in full fellowship with the National Baptist Convention. (see Articles<br />
of Faith in <strong>MSBC</strong> Constitution <strong>and</strong> Bylaws).<br />
