We were blessed by the performances
of our On the Tip of your Tongue and
Oppitongaf orators and I can see the
positive influence of these public speaking
competitions, along with the ATKV and
Toastmasters, in the way that our future
prefects had to sell themselves on stage
during our last assembly. The gift of
the gab is still the key to success. It is
with great anticipation that we await the
opening of the pantomime (the posters
are up!) along with the choir and Breyten
& Blake performance at the Tshwane
Youth Arts Festival. We also ran a
successful week of Drug awareness with
a number of guest speakers informing
our learners on all the dangers.
well. Cross-country, cricket, golf and
soccer are now the current flavours and
after a great soccer camp, we expect
great things from the boys.
We wish all our Grade 12 learners
and parents just the best towards the
preparation and writing of the preliminary
exams. May God bless every one of our
family.
Last Saturday, our u/16 hockey girls
made Curro Roodeplaat history by being
our first sports side playing in the final of
the Noord Vaal competition. Even though
Curro won the trophy, unfortunately, we
were the runners up. Our hockey girls
lost 0 - 1 to Curro Heuwelkruin. By the
way, they beat us 9 - 0 last year. YOU
GO GIRLS. Both our u/15 and u/17 rugby
boys lost in the round of sixteen. Marcelle
Cronje was chosen for the Gauteng North
Action Cricket side (U23’s). We wish him
