Brand Standards Guide 2016


BRANDING - AND WHY IT MATTERS<br />

The importance of a strong <strong>brand</strong> identity cannot be<br />

understated. The visual representation of a <strong>brand</strong> is a reflection<br />

of a company’s personality and core values.<br />

The Ironclad® Graphic Standards Manual is the<br />

foundation for creating clear and consistent <strong>brand</strong><br />

perception, while meeting diverse communication needs.<br />

Consistent treatment and usage of the <strong>brand</strong> identity set<br />

forth in these guidelines will help achieve our goal of raising<br />

awareness and building greater <strong>brand</strong> equity.<br />

These <strong>standards</strong> are divided into sections. Each<br />

section contains important information on how to<br />

implement the visual identity in a way that is consistent and<br />

appropriate to each application.<br />

Adhering to these <strong>standards</strong> when devising all<br />

communications will help Ironclad® reach its goal of greater<br />

<strong>brand</strong> recognition and consistency.

When applying the Ironclad® signature, a reasonable amount of open space should be maintained around the signature at all times. This open<br />

space is referred to as the “clear zone” and is determined by “X.” “X” is the width of the shield before the word “ironclad.” This area must always<br />

remain clear of other imagery, including typography, photographs, design elements, page trifolds. Please note, this area is only a minimum distance<br />

and a more generous use of clear space surrounding the signature is always preferred.<br />

The Ironclad® logo should appear alone in a signature area. Other logos and symbols must be positioned a minimum<br />

Ironclad has since moved over to a fully responsive CMS<br />

(Wordpress) website using a Warp 5 Framework, Javascript<br />

and CSS styling for the housing of the site while utilizing<br />

and embedding Shopify in order to process and facilitate all<br />

e-commerce activity.<br />

A stong focus has been placed on large imagery, clean<br />

presentation and easier navigation with category breakdowns<br />

in the main menu set up for end-users.<br />
