The Installation
This experience is beyond any 360 Video which can
only give the viewer the sense of the environment, by
positioning them from a single vantage point to
having a 360 degrees view.
In our approach, the viewer has the ability to break
the boundaries of the "screen" and transport themself
with the freedom and ability to walk inside these
worlds, as if they where truly present in a 3
dimensional space.
When The experience you combine will the empower two, as the we viewer do with to our gain pioneering a project, you sud-denly encounter the
American Museum of Natural History
With its rich history and collections, the American Museum of Natural History is the preeminent
museum in the world, and a fitting host for the pilot Small Wonders exhibition.
As the lead exhibitor, AMNH would be the first to present Macro VR to the public.
INVERTEBRATES: Forest Floor
The viewer shrinks down to find themselves on a mossy forest floor, face-to-face with an iridescent
beetle. A Virtual Reality stereoscopic diorama overflows with a bounty of beautiful invertebrates.
The viewer interacts with the spineless fauna while they interact with each other, featuring ants,
praying mantises, katydids, ladybugs, beetles, snails, jumping spiders, caterpillars, and butterflies.
We could even design a virtual reality recreation of AMNH’s beloved Life on the Forest Floor
diorama from the Hall of North American Forests.
INVERTEBRATES: Pop-Art
Filming a praying mantis
against a monochromatic
built set highlights its
eccentric disposition like
never before.
Interactive features allow
viewers to potentially alter
the speed of a grasshopper’s
stridulation, or duck out of
the way of a colorful spider
jumping in slow motion.
A pop-art minimalism in the second
invertebrate experience will draw
attention to the unique personalities
of earth’s smaller animals.
GEMS
In this immersive interactive Virtual Reality
experience, viewers will frolic on a pile of faceted
jewels, and watch in awe as sparkling gems rain
down in slow motion.
Viewers discover the causes of gem coloration by
interacting with four brilliant diamonds -- white,
blue, green and pink. Moving toward a stone
initiates a journey through the diamond’s
crystalline molecular lattice, revealing its color to
be the result of impurities and imperfections.
Nothing’s perfect, and that’s great!
MINERALS
The Minerals VR features a truly immersive
exploration of Nature’s most wondrous architecture.
Viewers will scout a quartz formation like they
stumbled into Superman’s Fortress of Solitude.
They’ll measure perfect squares of pyrite and survey a
tower of tourmaline. And when the lights go out,
bizarre geometries are illuminated in darkness by
ultraviolet light.
The viewer can potentially trigger the ultraviolet
vision, as well as activate infographic overlays about the
mineral formations. This experience, like the others,
can be customized to highlight AMNH’s collection.
Technology
The Natural History Museums has over 15 million visitors annually.
opportunity
With an additional opportunity to exhibit to over 400 Science Centers where more
than 73 million people worldwide visited last year, with 39 million in the U.S. alone.
Collections include over 35 million specimens and artifacts and cover current wonders
around us as well as 4.5 billion years of history.
The audience will be taken on a interactive journey to reveal through self-explored
discovery of the Small Wonders of our world.
As opposed to computer-generated characters, life’s most universal stories feature
WHY
drama and action between people and the real natural life.
By creating a series of time capsules for this generation as well as future
generations, we gain a new connection which breaks the barriers of the screen,
resulting in a deeper understanding through shared experiences.
One of the strongest threads that bind humankind is the desire to preserve our
Purpose
immortality and everything we cherish. It’s at the core of our existence. Family heirlooms
get passed from generation to generation, stories get re-told and photographs shared, yet
memories fade.
But now, with this new technology that blends holographic video with artificial
intelligence, our essence can live on, the bittersweet life lessons, accomplishments and
wisdom, our connections to each other. Imagine the fully-enhanced likeness of yourself
interacting with your great-great-grandchildren or a roomful of students or researchers
answering questions and sharing stories. This capability is within our grasp.
