Accidents A report of a motor vehicle crash at 3:48 p.m. Tuesday at Party City at 300 Andover St.; at 5:22 p.m. Tuesday at 78 Lynnfield St. A report of a motor vehicle crash with personal injury at 6:10 p.m. Tuesday at 21 Beckett St. and 8 Osborne St. At least two people were taken to Salem Hospital. A report of a two-car motor vehicle crash at 61 County St. on Thursday at 7:28 a.m. Operated cited for marked lanes violation. A report of a two-car motor vehicle crash at 201 Lynn St. and 2 Fairview Ave. on Thursday at 9:23 a.m. One of the vehicles was towed. A report of a motor vehicle crash on Thursday at 12:34 p.m. in the parking lot at Atlantic Dental at 150 Main St. Officer reports the accident was minor and police assisted operators in exchanging information. A report of a two-car motor vehicle crash on Thursday at 2:29 p.m. at Wendy’s at 71 Newbury St. Officer reports papers were exchanged prior to his arrival. Caller reports he was involved in a motor vehicle crash on Thursday at 2:35 p.m. at 2 Franklin St. and 61 Foster St. Officer reports accident was minor and he assisted operators in exchanging information. Caller reports her vehicle was struck while it was parked in a lot at 240 Lynnfield St. on Thursday at 3:22 p.m. Officers spoke with an employee who said she has video of the incident and it was another vehicle that struck the victim’s car. Police said they are reviewing the videotape. The suspect vehicle is described as a blue Honda Pilot. The sergeant said he will wait for a report until he can see if the incident was captured on video. A report of a minor two-car motor vehicle crash with no injuries was reported on Thursday at 4:38 p.m. at 2 Davis Terrace and 53 Driscoll St. Officer reports papers were exchanged and no tow was needed. A report of a two-car motor vehicle crash on Thursday at 4:49 p.m. at 310 Lowell St. and Route 128 North. Officer reports minor damage, no injuries, and no tow needed. Animal Control Caller reported on voicemail from 12 Ledgewood Way, Apt. 30, on Wednesday at 4 p.m. that she has information on a dog’s whereabouts based on Home Again, the microchip company, but will not disclose the information to the animal control officer. Officer reported she did not have the right to disclose the owner’s information and that she had to get the info from Home Again. She was also told Home Again would have to provide the info if she obtained a court order. Report of a stray dog at 50 Wallis St. and 31 Elm St. on Thursday at 11:55 a.m. Officer reports the owner was located. Breaking and Entering A report of a motor vehicle breaking and entering at 6:32 a.m. Wednesday at 113 Goodale St. A vehicle was broken into and a wallet was found in the bushes. A report of a breaking and entering at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Poodles N’ Pals Stylist at 23 ½ Tremont St. A caller reported her business was broken into overnight. Multiple checks were stolen out of the register. Hot pink clippers were stolen as well. Complaints A report of a disturbance at 4:40 p.m. Tuesday on Roosevelt Avenue. Five juveniles were reportedly riding bikes in the middle of the street being rude to drivers. An officer informed them to stay out of the street. A report of suspicious activity at 8:12 p.m. Tuesday at 5 Bragg St. Juveniles were reportedly starting a fire in the fire pit. Theft A report of a larceny at 4:32 p.m. Tuesday at 210 Washington St. A report of a stolen motor vehicle at 6:42 a.m. Wednesday at 139 Goodale St. A report of a breaking and entering at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Poodles N’ Pals Stylist at 23 ½ Tremont St. A caller reported her business was broken into overnight. Giordani, 70, of Derry, N.H., peacefully passed Wednesday August 22, 2018 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Peabody on October 21, 1947, a daughter of the late Louis Karakaedos and Dorothy (Perry) Karakaedos-Sharkey. She had been a resident of Derry, N.H. for the past 38 years, formerly living in Lynn. She is survived by her husband, Albert Giordani of Derry; three daughters, Corinna Middleton and husband James of Derry, Sabrina Graichen and husband Gary of Derry, Andrea Giordani and wife Sara (Handschuh) Giordani of Laurel, Md.; six grandchildren, James “Brandon” Middleton and husband Eric Nguyen, Kathryn Wessel and husband John Ross, Shanyn Katwal and husband Sulabh, and Lynsie, Julie, and Camryn Graichen; fi ve great-grandchildren, Isabella, Rhys, Ryder, Weston, and Bodhi; her sister, Suzanne McIntosh and husband Gordon of Lynn; three brothers, Robert Karakaedos and wife Joanne of Lynn John Sharkey and wife Linda of Lynn and William Sharkey and wife Patricia of Malden; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as dear family and friends in Aruba. She was predeceased by her siblings, Sevestos “Sam” Karakaedos, Helen “Elaine” Hunter, George Karakaedos, Andres Karakaedos, Anastasia Voyiagis, Agnes Marquis, and Andrew Karakaedos. Katherine had the most beautiful, selfl ess soul and is known for her generosity, compassion, and love for others. During her 53 years of marriage to Al, the two soul mates created the most beautiful PEABODY — Mark L. Sewell Sr., 60, of Peabody, passed away Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018 after a lengthy illness. Born in Lynn, Mark was the son of Louise (LaLiberte) Sewell of Lynn and the late Donald Sewell. He was the beloved husband of Kathryn (Walker) Sewell of Peabody, with whom he shared 41 years of marriage. Mark was the devoted father of Mark L. Sewell Jr. and his wife, Tarra of Malden and Leanne Foye and her husband, David of Fitzwilliam, N.H.; and the dear brother of Donald Sewell Jr. of Lynn, Daryl Sewell of Ipswich and Yvonne Sewell of Lynn. Mark is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews. Mark graduated from Lynn Vocational Technical Institute with the Class of 1976 and worked as an auto body technician for more than 40 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, canoeing and fi shing around New England including in New Hampshire. He volunteered with the Boy Mark L. Sewell Sr., 60 love story that continues to be told as the family grows. Katherine was most proud of her 3 Daughters and always doted over her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Katherine had a love for music and dancing, and together the two were unstoppable on the dance fl oor! Katherine and Al traveled the world side by side and could always be spotted in a crowd with their matching outfi ts! The duo had a love for Aruba and traveled there annually with family and a group of friends that became family over the years. In Aruba, Katherine was better known as “Jingle Bells” as she would sing and dance while winning big in the casino! Katherine was fantastic in the kitchen and loved making desserts for all! Katherine enjoyed bowling and Friday night dinners at Derry Pizza. Katherine was passionate about sports and her family is certain that the Red Sox and Patriots could hear her cheering them on from her “parlor”! Katherine also had a passion for pranking others, with each prank followed by her contagious laughter that brought joy to all. Katherine’s presence, friendship, and love was a gift to all! Service information: Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Friday, August 31st from 3 - 7 p.m. in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. PEABODY — Mr. Carmine Zambella, 80 years of Peabody, died on Thursday August 23, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. He is the husband of Mrs. Virginia (Guanci) Zambella. He was born in Atripalda, Provence of Avellino, Italy, the son of the late Pellegrino and Angelina (Ginolfo) Zambella. He was raised in Italy and attended schools in Italy. He moved to the United States in 1961. He was employed as a butcher for Henry’s Market in Beverly for 21 years. He also worked at the Hilltop, Purity Supreme and Fulchini Bakery. While in Italy he served in the military. He was an active communicant of St. Ann’s Parish in Peabody. Mr. Zambella was undefeated in Bocce. He was an avid gardener, amazing baker and cook. He loved to travel and visited family in Italy and England. He went to Israel, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, Holland and many other countries. He was beloved by his family, and his many nieces, nephews and godchildren. He was loved by all and always had a big beautiful smile for everyone. He was faithful to the Lord and devoted to his wife and son. In addition to his wife Virginia, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage he leaves his son, Antonio Zambella of Peabody. His brothers and sisters and brothers in law and sisters in law, Antonio and Linda Zambella of Italy, Armando and Pina Zambella of Italy, Assunta and Rosario Nazzaro of Italy, Antonietta Loffredo and her late husband Sabino of England, Linda and Alfonso Portonova of Italy, Pierna Zambella and her late husband Rafaelle of Italy, Armida Zambella and her late husband Sabino of Italy, the late Rosa Wagstaff and her late husband Lenny, the late Maria Luce and her late husband Ciro, Rosa Cappola and her late husband Angelo of Arizona, Antonio and Janet Guanci, Perry Guanci, Maria and Gerardo Picariello all of Lynn. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and many godchildren.
