Although some businesses close for a few weeks at <strong>this</strong> time of year for essential maintenance and hard-earned annual staff vacations,<br />
<strong>Bequia</strong> still has much to offer: delightful restaurants, great yacht provisioning, excellent marine supplies, fabulous uncrowded beaches,<br />
friendly bars, island tours through lush, summer-fresh scenery, boat day trips, and much more…<br />
The air-conditioned <strong>Bequia</strong> Tourism Association office at the end of the main jetty is open 6 days a week throughout <strong>September</strong> and<br />
<strong>October</strong> as follows: Mon to Fri 9am - 5.30pm; Sundays & Public Holidays from 9am - 11am (closed Saturdays). Tourism Rep Vernamay<br />
Ollivierre is there to help you with advice on what to do, where to stay, ferry times, taxi rates and much more, so do take time to stop by<br />
for a visit. Postcards, stamps, and ice-cold bottled water are all for sale there, along with souvenir T-shirts at bargain prices, courtesy<br />
flags and much more. And don't forget to pick up a FREE copy of “Ins & Outs of St. Vincent & the Grenadines” - a beautiful publication<br />
packed full of invaluable information about the island and <strong>this</strong> beautiful country.<br />
<strong>Bequia</strong>’s bank BOSVG (off Back Street) is equipped with two 24-hour ATM machines which will accept most credit cards. If you are<br />
on a yacht, our friendly Customs & Immigration officers in the Revenue Office will answer any questions you might have (see opening<br />
times on page 4.) There are a number of internet access and WiFi hot spots in and around Port Elizabeth, so you should have no trouble<br />
checking and sending your emails, browsing for news or getting the latest weather updates.<br />
So just relax, unwind – and enjoy your stay!
