Every year around 20,000 people take on a self-build project allowing
them to create the perfect home to suit their family and lifestyle, and
with the ‘Right to Build’ register being added to the Housing and
Planning Act in 2016, people can now get help and assistance to find
a suitable plot of land.
RGB Building Supplies recognises the importance
of supporting those taking on a self-build project
and is delighted to be the headline sponsor of the
SelfBuild & Design Show, held every September
at Westpoint, Exeter.
During the exhibition, RGB takes visitors on a
self-build journey. From getting advice about
build materials, right through to seeing options
for kitchens, bathrooms and interior decoration,
visitors have the chance to speak with experts
and representatives from leading suppliers.

At RGB’s branches, self-builders will find
everything they need to complete their project,
including heavyside and lightside building
materials, dedicated kitchen, bathroom and
bedroom showrooms offering a free planning
and design service, paint mixing facilities, the
latest sustainable building products, decorating
centres and dedicated plumbing and heating
branches.
In addition, RGB’s sister companies RTD, which
designs, produces and delivers trusses, i-beams
and timber builds, and The Room Works, a
standalone Exeter based showroom which is
home to aspirational kitchens and bathrooms,
give self-builders further options to make their
new homes stand out.
