Student Testimonials
The CSUDH Career Center encouraged me to attend the career fair,
where I met with several companies and was able to set up an interview.
The Career Center also helped me with my interview and resume
preparation. As a result, I am now interning with American Honda
and gaining practical experience that relates directly to my studies.
Akash Patel (India), undergraduate transfer student
Major: BS in Business Administration–Information
Systems Security
CSUDH was recommended to me by my SACM Advisor. From the
beginning, I was impressed with the way the staff helped me.
They are very nice and understanding, from the International
Office to the professors.
Deema Alqahtani (Saudi Arabia)
Major: MA in English–TESL
Studying at CSU Dominguez Hills was one of the best experiences
of my life. I got to dive head first into networking, self-improving,
and traveling.
Another advantage of studying at CSUDH is its close proximity to
downtown Los Angeles. You can also easily travel and go sight-seeing
anywhere from San Francisco to San Diego!
Jacob Papageorgiou (United Kingdom)
Major: BA in Music
I have studied at CSUDH in the ALCP program for seven months
so far, and my listening and conversation skills have already
improved significantly.
XiXi Kang (China)
The ALCP program is a great way to learn English and meet new people.
The teachers are very helpful, understanding and kind.
Ahmed (Syria)
Studying at CSUDH changed my life! I decided to change my career
focus, and pursue my master’s degree after my positive experience
studying at CSUDH and guidance from my professor.
Through studying at CSUDH, I have
been able to volunteer at the tutoring
center on campus where I teach
American students Japanese. This has
been a great opportunity to meet
people from different backgrounds
and to make some lasting friendships.
Tsubasa Kojima (Japan)
undergraduate transfer student
Major: BS in Business
Administration–Sports
Entertainment and Hospitality
Many things at CSUDH ALCP inspire
me. Everything here is great, especially
the teachers! I appreciate how they
help us daily if there are questions.
They also respect and motivate me
to succeed.
Duy Nguyen (Vietnam)
CSUDH is perfectly located! We are close to downtown Los Angeles, the
beaches, and the StubHub Center is right next to campus. Overall, studying at
CSU Dominguez Hills has been life changing, exciting and challenging!
Kelly Louise Kallin (Sweden), Student Athlete
Major: BA in Public Administration–Administrative Management
I feel like the professors know me personally,
and I have been able to develop a positive
relationship with many of them because of
the small class sizes.
Another positive aspect of studying at CSUDH
is my involvement in the international student
club. I was selected to be the secretary and
social media manager which has turned into
a very valuable opportunity. It has helped me
to improve my skills, resume and has led to
many new friendships!
