careers advisers delivering impartial
careers advice, something many
schools can no longer afford.
Working with you from day one,
they’ll help you map out your future
and make good decisions.
Whether that’s applying for a
job, supporting your university
application or helping you
fast-track to an apprenticeship.
You can make an appointment with
them while you’re still at school to
help you decide what to do when
you leave or drop in to see them at
any of our enrolment events.

JobLab is our bespoke website
dedicated to guiding you through
the process of getting on the right
track to the career you want.
Packed full of advice and top
tips on topics such as getting
your first job, going to university
and even setting up your own
business, the site also advertises job
vacancies, including part time work,
apprenticeships, work placements
and volunteering opportunities.
Work experience
We’ll help you to develop a
personalised career plan mapped
to your skills and ambitions which
we’ll use to source a relevant work
experience placement.
With a network of over 450
employers, we will give you an
inspirational work experience
placement that helps build the
valuable skills employers want and
provide practical examples for
university or job applications.
Many of our students have secured
full time jobs with their placement
employer; so could you!
You’ll also take part in our work
inspiration programme, a series of
activities and experiences to help
you to explore different career
opportunities, such as mentoring,
behind the scenes site visits,
competitions set by employers and
question and answer sessions.

talented young entrepreneurs
the opportunity to test and
market their products and
showcase their retail flair.
It's also a place for students
to gain valuable work
experience and we employ
retail apprentices too.
