Housing Market Intelligence<br />
Conference and Annual Report launch,<br />
Barbican, London<br />
Housing secretary James Brokenshire is to address the<br />
industry at this year’s Housing Market Intelligence<br />
conference, joining a strong line up including experts<br />
from industry, finance and the political world.<br />
He will be joined at the conference by Liberal<br />
Democrat leader Sir Vince Cable who will give his take<br />
on the political challenge of housing, plus leading<br />
figures from the housebuilding industry, including<br />
Barratt ceo David Thomas, Homes England ceo Nick<br />
Walkley and HBF executive chairman Stewart Baseley.<br />
Nationwide Building Society chief executive Joe Garner<br />
will tackle the mortgage market and David Inskip of<br />
CBRE Global Investors will provide the market forecasts.<br />
HMI will also feature an expert session on changes to<br />
the planning system, chaired by HBF planning director<br />
Andrew Whitaker.<br />
The HMI Report will be launched at the conference<br />
with information, analysis and statistics including the<br />

The HBF Wales conference<br />
and dinner<br />

members at the Wales conference and<br />
dinner. The conference commences<br />
at 3.30pm and will be followed by<br />
a three-course dinner, providing<br />
delegates with the perfect<br />
opportunity to network with HBF<br />
members from across Wales. The<br />
conference will include presentations<br />
from the HBF executive team as well<br />
as from external speakers.<br />

The finalists have been announced<br />
for The <strong>Housebuilder</strong> Awards <strong>2018</strong> and<br />
tickets for the ceremony are now on<br />
general sale. The <strong>Housebuilder</strong> Awards<br />
recognise excellence in all aspects of the<br />
industry, including design, customer<br />
satisfaction, community initiatives,<br />
marketing, training, recruitment,<br />
regeneration, refurbishment and<br />
sustainability.<br />
The winners will be announced on the<br />
night of Thursday November 1.<br />

are the only programme to recognise<br />

year, they are highly prized by their<br />
