Fast Food Culture can be categorized as :
- A culture where people consume fast food as their major option.
- A culture where people just love to hangout at fast food restaurant.

This culture is practiced by mostly teenagers & young adults,
fast food restaurants are the places they often hangout.

In Malaysia, KFC and McDonald’s are two of the most popular fast food restaurants.
There are currently 271 McDonald’s outlets and over 600 KFC outlets in Malaysia.
In the past, a visit to fast food restaurant was reserved for special occasions like
birthday celebration and good exam grades.
Today, fast food is viewed in a different way and many people see it as casual dining.

A&W was the first fast food introduced to Malaysians
However, it is starting to be forgotten as other fast food chains becomes
popular.
This is the signature
A&W root beer float that
everyone loves.

IS IT GOOD OR BAD?
Eating too much fast food can
lead to cardiovascular diseases
and obesity.
Statistics shows that obesity
rate in Malaysia has increased
over the years and one of the
biggest factor is food consumption.
However, this culture is unique
in its own way.

People do not only go to fast food restaurant for their food, free wifi
with the best Internet connection might also be one of the reason.

Fast food restaurants are also a popular studying
spot for students as it is a place that opens 24
hours and has food.
It is also a perfect place to socialize with family and friends.

Drive-thru makes ordering process
easier.
At some places, you can see long
queues at drive-thru on weekend
nights.

Mc Café was launched in 2012,
serving coffee, beverages and
cakes.
This attracts more people to come to
McDonalds and encouraging fast
food culture.

To make ordering and
payment process
easier, there are self
service kiosks.

The convenience
they provide for
customers makes
them keep coming
back.
