Avoid the challenges of paperwork on the road<br />

or mix-ups at the depot when drivers return to<br />

collect more equipment to deliver. <strong>Syrinx</strong>’s Driver<br />

App runs on a mobile Android device and allows<br />

jobs to be downloaded from <strong>Syrinx</strong> to be carried<br />

out by your drivers. The program collects photos,<br />

vehicle checks, signatures and geographical<br />

information, which is then uploaded into your<br />

system when each job is completed. Now your<br />

transport operations can run better than before!


<strong>Syrinx</strong> Operator App<br />

<strong>Syrinx</strong> Operator App and Operator Scheduler<br />

work together to help enable hire businesses to<br />

manage their machine operators more efficiently.<br />

The app allows machine operators to view their<br />

upcoming schedule and enter time sheet hours<br />

against their contracts. Completed timesheets<br />

are automatically uploaded to <strong>Syrinx</strong> for users to<br />

review. The Scheduler allows you to see at a<br />

glance which operators are available and are<br />

allocated by shift or by contract.<br />

Empower your sales team by allowing<br />

theft or damage. <strong>Syrinx</strong> now supports TSO Mobile<br />

tracking, putting you back in control of your fleet.<br />

You’ll see real-time and historical location data,<br />

be able to create geofences, track speeds and<br />

usage history, all of which will help optimise your<br />

fleet’s use.<br />

Online Ordering<br />

Allow your customers to place orders or request<br />

quotations even when your business is closed.<br />

Online Ordering allows your customers to browse<br />

your hire and sales products: view key product<br />

information and images, download specification<br />

documents, and check availability and pricing.<br />

They can also search within your catalogue using<br />

the Search box at the top. All this information is<br />

synced with your <strong>Syrinx</strong> database, ensuring<br />

availability is accurate and up-to-date.<br />

Report Scheduler<br />

Report Scheduler runs each evening to produce<br />

sets of reports, automatically emailing them to<br />

designated customers and employees. If the<br />

information is stored in <strong>Syrinx</strong> (and basically, it all<br />

can be), it can be included in a scheduled report.<br />

<strong>Syrinx</strong> Workshop App<br />

Equipment maintenance can be a lengthy<br />

process. Users print out jobs required each day,<br />

manually distributing them among engineers, who<br />

fill out MORE paperwork upon completing each<br />

task before it’s entered into the computer system.<br />

But with <strong>Syrinx</strong> Workshop, services, inspections,<br />

breakdowns, off-hire inspections, or customer<br />

repairs have information stored electronically.<br />

Syncing between the app and <strong>Syrinx</strong> ensures<br />

users and engineers stay up-to-date.<br />

Document Scanning<br />

<strong>Syrinx</strong> Document Scanning saves your company<br />

hours of time spent filing or retrieving documents,<br />

giving your staff more time to spend with<br />

customers or on other important duties. It gives<br />

Overview<br />

Formed as a division of Barretts of Aspley Limited in 2014, BoA Plant draws on a wealth of<br />

knowledge and experience gained from over 25 years within the construction industry to<br />

supply a safe, fast, and efficient service. With contract lift cranes and driver-only crane hire,<br />

as well as a growing fleet of plant to hire including diggers, dumpers and rollers from the<br />

world’s leading suppliers such as Kubota and Thwaites, BoA has a lot of inventory to<br />

manage. That’s why they chose <strong>Syrinx</strong> by Point of Rental Software to manage their<br />

processes of setting priorities, distributing, and controlling jobs.<br />

With a large, diverse (and growing) fleet, however, comes new obstacles – especially on the<br />

maintenance side. Improper or lost documentation meant more equipment down and<br />

wasted staff time. BoA needed a solution to streamline their maintenance processes.<br />

Solution<br />

<strong>Syrinx</strong> Workshop App was introduced in 2016, and BoA adopted the software early. BoA<br />

could use the same software they depended on in the other aspects of their business and<br />

extend it into the maintenance bay.<br />

With the <strong>Syrinx</strong> Workshop App, availability and returns processes were quickly simplified.<br />

With real-time updates, the app gives BoA’s <strong>Syrinx</strong> users a clear picture of the exact status<br />

of their inventory at any given time.<br />

When a machine on a client site has been damaged, photos can be taken directly within<br />

the app along with any other details required. The subsequent communication with a client<br />

is faster and more accurate, enabling BoA to control costs.<br />

Tracking when machinery is due for service is automated, saving large amounts of time<br />

that would have been spent on administration. <strong>Syrinx</strong> Workshop can also track trends,<br />

enabling BoA to spot recurring issues within a machine. Although rare, they value this as a<br />

key feature from a safety and cost -saving point of view.<br />

The <strong>Syrinx</strong> Workshop App also helps prioritise urgently needed machinery by allowing it to<br />

instantly be moved to the top of an engineer’s task list without the need for a phone call.<br />
