For short-term visitors to Athens on their way to discover the
Greek countryside and islands, the capital’s rich cultural scene
can be both an attraction and a source of bewilderment: so much
culture, so little time. Visitors need days of museum-hopping to even
get introduced to the country’s history and art. However, there is an
entry-point to Greece’s culture, a gateway into its past and present,
and it can be found at the heart of the city.
