<strong>St</strong>atue of King <strong>Louis</strong> IX of France.<br />

Known as the Apotheosis of Saint <strong>Louis</strong>,<br />

the statue by Charles H. Niehaus was<br />

unveiled at the 1904 World’s Fair.<br />

Two years later, the city had it cast in<br />

bronze and placed in front of the Saint<br />

<strong>Louis</strong> Art Museum, where it remains a<br />

beloved landmark.<br />
