With two Premier League football clubs, the world’s<br />
most famous horse race and a host of championship<br />
golf courses, the city region offers something for all<br />
Liverpool Football Club has an extremely rich history,<br />
winning 18 national league titles and 5 European Cups,<br />
narrowly missing out on a sixth in <strong>2018</strong>. The club’s museum<br />
and stadium tours allow visitors to immerse themselves<br />
in one of the world’s most famous clubs through stateof-the-art<br />
technology, learning about legends such as<br />
Bill Shankly and Kenny Dalglish as well as following in<br />
the footsteps trod by Jurgen Klopp’s current side.<br />
Across Stanley Park, Everton Football Club are also one of<br />
the most storied clubs in the country. As well as being one<br />
of the original founding members of the football league,<br />
they are the fourth most successful club in England,<br />
having won 9 league titles, 5 FA Cups and one European<br />
trophy while boasting legends such as Dixie Dean, Alan<br />
Ball, Neville Southall and, most recently, Wayne Rooney.<br />
Visit their historic Goodison Park to see one of the finest<br />
examples of a traditional English football ground.<br />
<strong>2019</strong> sees Liverpool host the Netball World Cup, which<br />
promises to be one of the most anticipated events<br />
on the calendar. Fresh from their success in defeating<br />
Australia in their own backyard at the Commonwealth<br />
Games, all eyes will be on England and whether<br />
they can win their first Netball World Cup. Sixteen<br />
countries from across the world will be descending on<br />
Liverpool throughout July, with games from 12-21st.<br />
