We’re living in a world where<br />
many people are either suffering<br />
from an identity crises or are<br />
defining themselves by society’s everchanging<br />
opinions. It’s is important<br />
that we know who we are in Christ<br />
and understand that we are chosen for<br />
Greatness.<br />
The following scriptures re-inforce<br />
the truth that you are chosen for<br />
greatness:<br />
Deuteronomy 7:6: “For you are a holy<br />
people to the LORD your God; the<br />
LORD your God has chosen you to be<br />
a people for Himself, a special treasure<br />
above all the peoples on the face of<br />
the earth.<br />
Jeremiah 1:5: “Before I formed you<br />
in the womb I knew you; Before you<br />
were born I sanctified you; I ordained<br />
you a prophet to the nations.”<br />
Matthew 22:14: “For many are called,<br />
but few are chosen.”<br />
1 Peter 2:9(NKJV): 9 But you are a<br />
chosen generation, a royal priesthood,<br />
a holy nation, His own special people,<br />
that you may proclaim the praises of<br />
Him who called you out of darkness<br />
into His marvellous light…John 15:16<br />

You have not chosen Me, but I have<br />
chosen you and I have appointed and<br />
placed and purposefully planted you,<br />
so that you would go and bear fruit<br />
and keep on bearing, and that your<br />
fruit will remain and be lasting, so that<br />
whatever you ask of the Father in My<br />
name [as My representative] He may<br />
give to you.<br />
So, your God has chosen you;<br />
you are a special treasure. God<br />
has purposefully planned you. He<br />
has appointed you. You are not an<br />
accident.<br />
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE<br />
CHOSEN?<br />
To be chosen is to be sought after<br />
and separated from the crowd of<br />
many. You are defined, predestined,<br />
selected, approved, confirmed<br />
recognised recommended singled out,<br />
and unopposed. You are unopposed<br />
because God has chosen you. He<br />
chose you to be a part of His family.<br />
We have to remind ourselves that we<br />
are chosen for greatness<br />
GOD MAKES THE CHOICE<br />
It doesn’t matter where you live,<br />
what you have achieved, or have not<br />
achieved, what you look like, or what<br />
your background is. You are chosen<br />
for greatness. You are God’s own<br />
purchase, selected to be God’s own<br />
masterpiece and instrument:<br />
For we are His workmanship [His own<br />
master work, a work of art], created<br />
in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—<br />
spiritually transformed, renewed, ready<br />
to be used] for good works, which God<br />
prepared [for us] beforehand [taking<br />
paths which He set], so that we would<br />
walk in them [living the good life which<br />
He prearranged and made ready for<br />
us]. Ephesians 2.10 AMP<br />
WHO CAN BE CHOSEN?<br />
Anyone can be chosen because it is<br />
God who makes the choice. It’s not<br />
about situation or ability.<br />
David was the least, even in his own<br />
father’s eyes. David was the youngest<br />
in the family and given the task to just<br />
care for his father’s sheep. Mary was<br />
of no social standing; Jeremiah said he<br />
was ‘but a youth’, Amos said ‘I am just<br />
a farmer’; Esther was an orphan and<br />
Moses had a stammer. And yet, every<br />
single one of these people manifested<br />
the glory of God. They knew their God<br />
and as a result, they were strong and<br />
they did exploits.<br />
