Then why not fight the State
government in a vote by all
residents who live in the area
and get tough with Gladys?
Now they send us a stupid
manor house proposal pamphlet
by the State Government
medium density code.
I went to a meeting by John
Alexander and Kelly O’Dwyer
on foreign investment about
three years ago and my question
was “do you have bi partisan
support for this idea on
foreign investment of NEW
dwellings?”
A pause then the answer:
No.
I then said by the time you
do get support, the apartments
will be built, the cranes
will be gone and they will get
sold and in some cases whole
floors of apartments to foreign
investors.
Where are we now? Just
look out of any high vantage
point like old channel 10 site/
Meadowbank/ Ermington/

this lot through your gates,
and if you don’t like it protest
strongly, not a weak “looks
like we object” instead of
being a rates and tax collector
for yourself and the State

Dear Sir,
Having just returned from
the City of Ryde’s Remembrance
Day Commemoration
Service at Meadowbank
Park where those
gathered were moved to
reflect on and give thanks
for the service of those who
defended our freedom in
times of war, I wish to acknowledge
the role played
by the Centenary of Anzac
and Commemoration of
World War I Committee.
This group of people, led
by Clr Jerome Laxale and
supported by all councillors
and council staff, has worked
since 2012 to plan, organise
and execute events and activities
to recall the passage of
time over the course of World
War I from 1914 to 1918 and
the decades since that ‘’war
to end all wars’’.
The committee has also
been supported by the Department
of Veterans’ Affairs.
Now, 100 years since the
guns fell silent on the Western
Front, the committee has disbanded
after a voluntary job
well done.

Politicians ignore
terrorist attacks
Dear Sir.
It sickens me to the stomach
how after every terror attack
on Australian soil useless
politicians come out with the
same spiel and BS. .
How we can rise above this
latest incident, how we should
all stick together, that we are all
one etc. etc.
Tell that to the families of
those that have lost loved ones
to these attacks you idiots, or
those that have been injured or
to our brave first respondents
that attend these scenes of
mayhem and sorrow.
What did you think was going
to be the outcome when you lot
in Canberra have flooded our
country with migrants, so called
asylum seekers, and refugees
from third world countries where
in many instances there is no
rule of law.
By my count there have been
at least five terror attacks perpetrated
in Australia against
Australian citizens by people
our stupid politicians and bu-
reaucrats have granted refugee
status to.
There have been dozens more
foiled all costing the Australian
tax payers about six hundred
million dollars per year to monitor
and police.
How many more out there
enjoying the benefits this great
country has to offer, are at this
minute planning more attacks.
It is clear to me that in trying
to convince themselves,us, and
the world, what a great multicultural
country we are, the
boofheads in Canberra have
changed our once beautiful and
innocent way of life, for ever.

to allow a 65 storey apartment
block in Macquarie Park is obscene.
Mayor Laxale and his green
alliance voted to approve this
development to be sent to the
Department of Planning (isn’t
that a bit weird that The Greens
supported this?) but is now trying
to tell us he didn’t do it. What
the?
The facts as we know them:
Mayor Laxale and the Greens
voted for this. Almost half of
the Councillors weren’t even in
the meeting when the vote took
place.
At almost 250 metres, this
will be the biggest tower in the
region. And the Mayor is now

like is the flippant way you are
dealing with Council decisions.
We don’t like that you make
decisions to suit your political

Running for state parliament is
one thing but using us residents
and the Council as a political
football is just not on.
You need to decide: Are you

in modern times?
Maybe so, but from December
2003 to January 2005, Latham

Leader - and from my memory,
made a very successful and

the then PM Howard look very
ordinary indeed.
