This year we have concentrated on refurbishing 

the hotel’s entrance, lobby and bar area. We now 

welcome you beneath the shelter of a canopy, 

while moving images are beamed on to the 

artistically designed façade. The Reception area 

is really inviting, with comfortable metal 

armchairs and a beautiful hand-knotted carpet 

that has been specially made for the lobby. 

The new bar area was designed and created by 

the artist Ty Waltinger and features stylish seats 

made of knitted copper mesh, ostrich feather 

lamps and handmade glass chandeliers. The Swiss 

pine ceiling decorated in antique bordeaux purple, 

the seating corner with its artistically painted 

floor, and the fresco on the wall made of 

hand-hammered silver all create a warm, almost 

mystical atmosphere. 

Reinhard Pohorec helped us with our new bar 

concept. Austria’s first Cognac Educator, and 

the youngest person in the world to hold the 

title, he specialises in combining the enjoyment 

of fine drinks with multisensory experiences, 

and he has made the Glocke, our new bar, 

a place of sheer indulgence.

Krallis Club & Villa Kunterbunt 

We provide childcare at the hotel for children over the age 

of 2.5 at Krallis Club, in an area of over 300 m 2 with 

climbing frame, slides, creative corner and much more. 

In winter, children staying at the hotel are looked after from 

3.30 p.m. free of charge. During the main holiday season, 

children can enjoy their own evening buffet! At the 

professionally managed Villa Kunterbunt kindergarten 

at the Asitzbahn valley station, little non-skiers from the age 

of 2 are lovingly cared for by the hour or for the whole day, 

with lots of fun and games. 

In summer, children are looked after free of charge all day at 

the Krallis Club. 

Children’s ski school 

There are two ways for the youngest children to make 

their first attempts on skis: at Krallis Club next to the 

hotel or at Leo’s Kids’ Club by the Asitzbahn valley 

station. With a magic carpet, ski carousel and colourful 

figures, children over the age of 3 are bound to have fun 

here. And the personal teaching in small groups provided 

by the experienced team from the Skiszene Altenberger 

gives them the best possible chance of success.

Welcoming, authentic, unique. Just 100 metres 

away from the Krallerhof, it is regarded as the 

most original event venue in the mountains. 

The KrallerAlm was built exclusively from 

recycled materials, with a great deal of love and 

care. The interior decor is based on the theme of 

spinning and weaving, so there is a little mill 

stream, a 4-tonne mill wheel and an old 

wool-combing machine. With a spacious sunshine 

terrace with views of the Leoganger Steinberge, 

and several traditional lounges, complete with its 

own dance floor, the KrallerAlm easily has room 

for 350 people. Pizza from the wood-fired oven, 

regional and international food and specialities 

like Barbecue and “hat eating”, events. 

Europe’s highest brewery museum is just a few steps 

away from the Alte Schmiede. This is where you 

can taste the exclusive AsitzBräu beer: an incomparable 

treat. Perhaps it’s because the amber-coloured beer 

comes from the oldest brewery in the East Tyrol. 

Or perhaps it’s because the views of the Leoganger 

mountains from the terrace are just breathtaking. 

Surrounded by fascinating artefacts from the brewery, 

you can enjoy the relaxed mountain hut ambience,

tobogganing, the Asitz Music Night and the spectacular 

Beats & Fire Show make the AsitzBräu a truly amazing

Oktoberfest is an annual highlight.

Just a few steps away from the top station of the 

Asitzbahn and Steinbergbahn cable cars, this little 

gem is situated at 1760 metres above sea level. 

The Alte Schmiede (Old Smithy) is in a class of its 

own. In winter, it’s a really special ski hut, a place 

to treat yourself to a break while skiing, and it has 

the best après-ski atmosphere, too. In summer, 

it’s an amazing place for culture-vultures, because 

it’s where the legendary concerts TONspuren on the 

Asitz take place. But the Alte Schmiede is also a 

popular stopping place for hikers and bikers. And 

while in winter you can enjoy the sheer romance of 

tobogganing by moonlight, in the warmer months 

there’s a summer toboggan run, too.

Deposit for a firm booking is € 500 per person (no extra fees apply), or 30 % for bookings at Christmas / New Year and Carnival. 

Cancellation charges: In the event of non-arrival, early departure or late arrival, cancellation charges will be applied in accordance with 

Austrian Hotel Contract Conditions. Cancellation of a reservation: Three months to one month before arrival, 40 % of the total room cost, 

up to one week before arrival, 70 % of the total room cost, lesss than one week before arrival, 90 % of the total room cost. Please note 

that you can take out travel insurance to cover cancellations.
