Samuel Collup placed as
Director of Sales
Gainco, Inc., aUS-based manufacturer
of yield enhancement and
yield tracking systems and equipment
for poultry, meat and other
food processing operations, announces
that Samuel Collup has
been named Director of Sales for
the company.Gainco is asubsidiary
of Bettcher Industries, Inc.
In his responsibilities, he will
oversee Gainco’sworldwide sales
activities including the formulation
of selling strategies, business
development efforts and key
account support.
Collup comes to Gainco from its
parent company, Bettcher Industries.
Since 2011 he served as a
regional manager for Bettcher,
responsible for sales and service
activities for the company’sfood
processing products in the Mountain
and Pacific region of the
United States.

Director of livestock and
supply chain appointed
Dutch meatproducer Vion has appointed
Koen VanBergen (photo)as
itsnew directoroflivestock and
supply chain. Currentlyworking as
sectormanager of pig farmingat
Rabobank, VanBergen will be joining
Vionon1January, 2019,and will be
responsible for the operational management
of theFarming department.
He will be tasked with speeding up
thedevelopmentofnew concepts and
strengtheningthe supplystructure in
thecoming years. He will report directlytoJohn
de Jonge,who will take
over the positionofchief operations
officer (COO) within Vion Pork from
Frans Stortelder as of 1January 2019.
Thisappointment comes as Vion
saidits expects the development of
the structure of Dutch pig farming to
accelerate in the years ahead. It
predicted that demand-driven supply
chainswould play an important part in
thisacceleration.

Next President for Kraft Heinz Canada
Kraft Heinz Canada tapped Nina
Barton as the company’snext President
effective 1January, 2019.She is
replacing Carlos Piani, who will remain
with the company in anewlycreated
role of Head of Strategic Initiatives
and Mergers &Acquisitions.
Bartonhas spent nine years in
various roles with Kraft Heinz. She
currentlyisPresident of Global
Digital OnlineGrowth at the company’sco-headquarters
in Chicago.

said. “The Canadian environment

Effective 1December, David Dines
(photo) is Cargill’sCFO. Dines
previouslyled thecompany’s
global tradingbusinesses in the
financial and industrialsectors,
and he is responsible forthe

risk management business.
He replaces the current CFO,
MarcelSmits, who will move into
anew strategic role leading
Cargill Asia Pacific. Smitsworked
in Asia earlier in his career which
makes him well positioned to
lead the company’saccelerated
growth plan in the Asia Pacific
region.
Anna Richo will join Cargill on
14 January, 2019,asgeneral
counsel, chief complianceofficer
and corporate secretary.Richo
most recentlyservedasexecutive
vice presidentand general
counsel of UCB, aBelgium-based
globalbiopharmaceutical company.She
succeeds Laura Witte,
who retired as Cargill’sgeneral
counsel on 31 May, after 33 years
of serviceinthe company.

Denise Jerger-Schatz is
the new Managing Director
Denise Jerger-Schatz has been
promoted to Managing Director of
Maurer-Atmos Middleby GmbH based
in Reichenau, Germany.Inher new
position, she will be responsible for
the day-to-day operations and
overall strategic direction and initiatives
of sales and engineering at the
company.

California, with the election of new
officers for the coming year. Conley

elected chairman.

livestock and meat industry experience
