Samuel Collup placed as<br />

Director of Sales<br />

Gainco, Inc., aUS-based manufacturer<br />

of yield enhancement and<br />

yield tracking systems and equipment<br />

for poultry, meat and other<br />

food processing operations, announces<br />

that Samuel Collup has<br />

been named Director of Sales for<br />

the company.Gainco is asubsidiary<br />

of Bettcher Industries, Inc.<br />

In his responsibilities, he will<br />

oversee Gainco’sworldwide sales<br />

activities including the formulation<br />

of selling strategies, business<br />

development efforts and key<br />

account support.<br />

Collup comes to Gainco from its<br />

parent company, Bettcher Industries.<br />

Since 2011 he served as a<br />

regional manager for Bettcher,<br />

responsible for sales and service<br />

activities for the company’sfood<br />

processing products in the Mountain<br />

and Pacific region of the<br />

Director of livestock and<br />

supply chain appointed<br />

Dutch meatproducer Vion has appointed<br />

Koen VanBergen (photo)as<br />

itsnew directoroflivestock and<br />

supply chain. Currentlyworking as<br />

sectormanager of pig farmingat<br />

Rabobank, VanBergen will be joining<br />

Vionon1January, 2019,and will be<br />

responsible for the operational management<br />

of theFarming department.<br />

He will be tasked with speeding up<br />

thedevelopmentofnew concepts and<br />

strengtheningthe supplystructure in<br />

thecoming years. He will report directlytoJohn<br />

de Jonge,who will take<br />

over the positionofchief operations<br />

officer (COO) within Vion Pork from<br />

Frans Stortelder as of 1January 2019.<br />

Thisappointment comes as Vion<br />

saidits expects the development of<br />

the structure of Dutch pig farming to<br />

accelerate in the years ahead. It<br />

predicted that demand-driven supply<br />

chainswould play an important part in<br />

thisacceleration.<br />

Next President for Kraft Heinz Canada<br />

Kraft Heinz Canada tapped Nina<br />

Barton as the company’snext President<br />

effective 1January, 2019.She is<br />

replacing Carlos Piani, who will remain<br />

with the company in anewlycreated<br />

role of Head of Strategic Initiatives<br />

and Mergers &Acquisitions.<br />

Bartonhas spent nine years in<br />

various roles with Kraft Heinz. She<br />

currentlyisPresident of Global<br />

Digital OnlineGrowth at the company’sco-headquarters<br />

in Chicago.<br />

head of Kraft Heinz Canada.” she<br />

said. “The Canadian environment<br />

offers many challenges andexciting<br />

Sault Ste. Marie and Toronto and has<br />

Changes in executive team<br />

Effective 1December, David Dines<br />

(photo) is Cargill’sCFO. Dines<br />

previouslyled thecompany’s<br />

global tradingbusinesses in the<br />

financial and industrialsectors,<br />

and he is responsible forthe<br />

creation andgrowth of Cargill’s<br />

risk management business.<br />

He replaces the current CFO,<br />

MarcelSmits, who will move into<br />

anew strategic role leading<br />

Cargill Asia Pacific. Smitsworked<br />

in Asia earlier in his career which<br />

makes him well positioned to<br />

lead the company’saccelerated<br />

growth plan in the Asia Pacific<br />

region.<br />

Anna Richo will join Cargill on<br />

14 January, 2019,asgeneral<br />

counsel, chief complianceofficer<br />

and corporate secretary.Richo<br />

most recentlyservedasexecutive<br />

vice presidentand general<br />

counsel of UCB, aBelgium-based<br />

globalbiopharmaceutical company.She<br />

succeeds Laura Witte,<br />

who retired as Cargill’sgeneral<br />

counsel on 31 May, after 33 years<br />

of serviceinthe company.<br />

Denise Jerger-Schatz is<br />

the new Managing Director<br />

Denise Jerger-Schatz has been<br />

promoted to Managing Director of<br />

Maurer-Atmos Middleby GmbH based<br />

in Reichenau, Germany.Inher new<br />

position, she will be responsible for<br />

the day-to-day operations and<br />

overall strategic direction and initiatives<br />

of sales and engineering at the<br />

company.<br />

"Her leadership skills and demonstrated<br />

competencies will lead<br />

Maurer-Atmos into the next chapter<br />

of global expansion. Her commitment<br />

elected chairman.<br />
