ANALY LABOR
For Filipinos, Christmas is about magic
and wonder. It is also about recapturing
the enchantment of childhood and the
comfort of tradition.
Magic and wonder are conjured
by the decors, Christmas trees and
light installations in the eastern part
of Metro Manila, particularly the cities of Pasig,
Mandaluyong and Makati.
Along Ayala Avenue in Makati, the lights
and light installations capture festivities
and traditions such as the Simbang
Gabi and Misa de Gallo highlighting
the importance of the church
and the community.
It’s the time when
people come together
in friendship, celebration
and worship. In Pasig, decorations and
light shows become fanciful as there are giant
candies and floating gift boxes.
Pass by these areas and experience sheer
holiday delight.
Capiz installations are wrapped around
the trees that line Ayala Avenue in Makati
City to complement the altars. To
lend more color and whimsical
elements to the overall design,
totem poles symbolizing the
12 days of Christmas are
installed between the
altars.
