GARA is the essential element<br />
of a bride’s trousseau from the<br />
Parsi community and popular for<br />
its elegance and vibrancy. GARA<br />
is derived from a Gujarati word<br />
which means SARI. It is handmade<br />
embroidered which makes it classical<br />
and precious outfit for wedding.<br />
Traditionally it has three styles- a<br />
dense one, net pattern and border<br />
and pallu with embroidery work and<br />
it takes few months to make one such<br />
dress. An ardent fashion enthusiast<br />
of Persian art and culture she has<br />
participated in many exhibitions<br />
within India and abroad to show<br />
cause her designs and tradition.<br />
However Parsi embroidery is a<br />
blend of Indian, Persian, European<br />
and Chinese design and patterns. It<br />
