Weekly Youth Activities
Open to the Community
Every Wednesday, the
church’s children and
youth ministry offers opportunities
for fun, friendship,
spirituality, and service.
Kids Club (K–grade
6) meets at 4:30 p.m. In
the evening, the Confirmation
Class (grades 7 &
8) meets at 6 p.m. And the
Senior High Youth Group
gathers at 7:15 p.m. The
two evening youth groups
have a tasty dinner together
at 6:45 p.m. — sometimes
chicken, sometimes

Dec. 16 Sunday Worship
The 10:30 a.m. Sunday,
Dec. 16, worship service
will include the Prairie
Brass Band, joining the
choir and congregation.
Prelude music begins at
10:30, with worship starting
at 10:45. Following
the service the band will
continue to play for a coffee
hour “Winter Pops”
program.
Christmas Eve
The church will hold the
following two masses on
Christmas Eve:
4:00 p.m. - Child/Family
friendly service
10:30 p.m. - Candlelight
service
Fall service hours
Sunday school for all
ages starts at 9:30 a.m. and
worship at 10:45 a.m.
Men’s Basketball
All men, high school
age and older, are invited
to play basketball 7-9 p.m.
every Tuesday.
Community Kitchen
On the first and third
Thursday of each month a
group meets in the church
kitchen to prepare food for
the Community Kitchen of
A Just Harvest. They start
working at about 1 p.m.
and continue until the food
is prepared, about 3:30.
All are invited to come and
participate in as much of
that time as you are available.
Serve at a Just Harvest
On the third Thursday
of each month the church
has an opportunity to serve
the food that was prepared
in our kitchen for the
Just Harvest Community
Kitchen from 4:30-7:30
p.m.

Knitting and crocheting
At 7 p.m. every Tuesday,
all are welcome to
knit for charity or work on
your their own projects.

Lessons And Carols Service
Kenilworth Union
Church will be offering
our annual Lessons And
Carols service on Sunday,
Dec. 16, at both the 9 a.m.
and 10:30 a.m. services.
This worship service will
be narrated with scripture,
and many choirs and instrumentalists
will tell the
story of the coming of the
Lord and Savior, Jesus
Christ. All of Kenilworth
Union Music Ministry is
involved in this service;
Chancel Choir, Youth
Choir, Rejoice Singers,
Bell Choirs, and numerous
instrumentalists will
be giving glory to God
with beautiful carols of
the season. This very popular
service provides an
opportunity for the congregation
and visitors to
sing some of their favorite
Advent and Christmas
carols.
Exploring Grief
The group meets every
other from 7–8:30 p.m.
Dec. 13 and Dec. 27 at Kenilworth
Union Church.
This free series provides
a confidential, supportive,
and educational environment
to grieve the loss of
a loved one or friend. All
community residents are
welcome to participate.
