ABBOTSFORD JUNIORS FOOTBALL CLUB<br />

2018 YEARBOOK<br />

UNDER 15/1 GIRLS<br />

It was so great to have a number of new players<br />

join our team this year. At an age where many<br />

girls are giving away sport, it was terrific to have<br />

a group of girls embrace the game and form a<br />

tight camaraderie.<br />

The weekly results were not always reflective of<br />

the great football played by the girls. We<br />

pushed most of the opposing teams and were<br />

unfortunate on some occasions to come away<br />

without the win. The standard of football was<br />

high, even when their self-belief wavered. Most<br />

importantly the girls always turned up to<br />

training and games with a smile.<br />

Thank you to Gary and Maurice for your<br />

patients and for all of your coaching efforts.<br />

UNDER 7 GOANNAS<br />

Well done to the U7 Goannas on a great season<br />

this year!<br />

It was our pleasure to coach and manage the<br />

team! Most of the kids had played together last<br />

season but our new players slotted in so well!<br />

We encouraged our team with an opportunity to<br />

learn and to develop, but to continue to have fun<br />

in a happy positive environment.<br />

Overall, the team gained a good understanding<br />

of the game and how to pass and interact with<br />

their teammates. Each individual player’s skillset<br />

improved as the season continued. The players<br />

desire and determination to learn and progress<br />

was rewarding to watch.<br />

There was some strong development over the<br />

season with some super exciting games that<br />
