In this 6 hour workshop you will learn:

> Basic botany and flower anatomy;

> How to accurately draw flowers;

> Observation of light and shade; and

> Watercolour mixing and painting techniques –

how and when to use them.

Each attendee will create a new artwork, while learning

techniques and theories of drawing, watercolour painting

and botanical art.

BOTANICAL ART – WHITE FLOWERS

In this 6 hour workshop you will learn:

> Basic botany and observation of light, shade,

and white tones;

> Painting techniques including wet-on-wet and

wet-on-dry and watercolour mixing specifically

for white flowers; and

> How and when to use each painting technique,

to avoid muddy paintings, and how to paint a

white flower on white paper.

Each attendee will create new artwork, while learning how

to capture the tones and contours of different kinds of white

flowers using botanical illustration methods.

SHIBORI FOR BEGINNERS

> How to create beautiful textiles using the ancient

process of shibori dyeing;

> Expand your fabric and textile knowledge; and

> How to upcycle fabrics.

shibori dyed silk scarf, along with two metres of

fabric to practice on.

bring any additional textiles from home to upcycle.

> About the beauty of shibori dyeing in its three

dimensional state;

than the two dimensional pattern created by dye.

set shibori wall hanging, along with two metres of fabric

covered with their own handmade chunky knit woollen

cushion cover.

In this 4 hour workshop you will learn:

> The basics of paper folding, the PAPEL (PAPER) way;

> The qualities of different kinds of paper; and

> How to master the art of flower folds in a beautifully

presented paper environment designed by Caroline.

Each participant will take home their own folded lotus

flower, two lavender stems, one handmade local pottery

vessel to store them in, as well as a PAPEL (PAPER)

handmade kit.

In this 3 hour workshop you will learn:

> How to make a lampshade from scratch;

> To prepare, cut and measure lampshade materials; and

> How to get a professional finish rolling your

lampshade edges.

Each participant will take home all remaining materials

from the kit provided, a handmade drum lampshade, and

new skills to transform the lampshades in your home.

Please bring your choice of fabric to make into

your lampshade.

WILLOW WEAVING

In this 2.5 hour workshop you will learn:

> About harvesting willow and its history of use

in woven forms;

> Basic willow weaving techniques and how to apply

them to different shapes; and

> How to weave onto an existing frame template, creating

a visually striking piece specific to your interests.

Each participant will take home a decorative handmade

dragonfly on a stand, for display in the house or garden,

woven using locally sourced willow.

In this 2 day workshop you will learn:

> Detail about cyanotype as an artform, its history and uses;

> An introduction on how to make cyanotype

photograms; and

> How to print cyanotype prints from negatives.

Each participant will go home with their own original

cyanotype prints, and the skills to continue making

distinctive cyanotypes such as fine art prints, books,

bespoke cards, textiles and wall hangings.

> What a shroud is and how it can be used;
